Human capital, greatest asset of any nation, says Dr. Omotosho as Anchor gives out 400 study Bible

by Church Times

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Anchor International Outreach Ministry and President of Anchor International Youth and Teen Work Academy (AIYTA), Dr. Bolarinwa Omotosho has said the greatest asset of any nation is human capital.

He made the observation at the maiden convocation ceremony of the Academy in Lagos on November 12..
The academy also hosted the 2022 Train-the-Trainers cutting-edge book project conference. The dual event took place at the West Africa Theological Seminary.

Omotosho said, “the greatest asset of any nation is not the empire or structure acquired but the right people they discovered, mentored, empowered, and exposed to leadership opportunities. It is the human capital. If the people in a nation are deficient in character that nation will destroy itself. It will destroy institutions that exist in the nation. Nations fall and rise depending on the character of the people and how they have been trained to handle leadership”

He appealed to the over 500 church leaders from different denominations at the event to invest in human capital in their ministries and churches.

Omotosho stressed also that the solution to any organization’s problem is not domiciled in the infrastructures and empires of the organization but in the people

“The difference between a developing and developed country, organization, or church is just the leaders with the right attitude,” he added.

Train-The – Trainers Cutting – Edge Book Project

Dr. Omotosho told journalists at the events that the Train-the-Trainers cutting-edge book project conference was organized by Anchor Leadership Academy (ALA).

“It is truly a joyful time as we are able to train church leaders, pastors, missionaries, and evangelists who are thirsty to know God’s word more and impact their world.

The purpose of the training according to him is for the leaders to build Godly homes, which is their primary constituency. “It is also intended for them to shepherd God’s people, disciple next-generation leaders, and in turn equip them to train others,” he said

At the event, a free Charles Spurgeon Study Bible, a set of books, and ministry enrichment e-books including a Bible Dictionary, were distributed to the over 400 participants

Also given out for free were a Dictionary on Christian Ethics, commentary, a concordance, a workbook, and a conference kit worth over $350 each
