I was on Oyakhilome’s matter for two days with the presidency- Apostle Suleman

by Church Times

Founder of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman has said he had altercations with the presidency over Pastor Chris Oyakhilome when the latter made the celebrated claims on 5G.

Suleman in a video published by Church Gist said when Oyakhilome made his position on 5G, he was one of the pastors that defended him saying he would always stick his neck for any man of God.

He, however, said his support for Oyakhilome made somebody in the presidency to call him. ‘when i was supporting him, I got a call from the presidency and I was asked to stay off the matter that they were going to pick him. I warned them and said to them if you pick Oyakhilome pick me.. I was on the matter for two days’ Suleman said.

Rather than castigate Oyakhilome for making such claims about 5G, Suleman said, people should be free to make their own claims too.

He then lamented the disunity in the church noting that the Church does not speak with one voice.

‘A woman told me that the church is no longer one as in the days of Abacha..she said during Abacha time the church gathered to pray. It was the night of one of their prayers saying enough of Abacha that he was called.’ he said.

Suleman who was visibly angry because of the discordant voices in the church said, ‘today Bishop Oyedepo will say something and another pastor will do his own video to counter it. What nonsense.’ he said.

Recalling the days of Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Suleman said he could remember how many people he literally slapped because of Idahosa before he was called to ministry.

He said ‘there was a young man who was speaking against Idahosa.

‘I had to arrange for the boy to be beaten. I took him to a primary school and a brother and I beat him thoroughly. Nobody could arrest me because my mother was a police officer’

While noting that there is too much talk in the church he said, ‘the Church is no longer respected. The church in the time of Abacha is no more.’
