The Founder of Dunamis Gospel Centre, Pastor Paul Enenche, has reflected on the huge success of the church’s Maiduguri crusade and its unprecedented outing in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, describing the outreaches as the hand of God in action.
He told excited church members on Sunday, March 23, that it was simply God at work while also noting that he felt zero pressure when he moved around for those evangelical outreaches in less than a week.
“On my way back, I went to my knees and thanked God for making missions struggle-free for me. We are not struggling to get things done. We finished preaching and when it is time to move, we move.”
The evangelical outreach in both Maiduguri and Pakistan attracted an unprecedented crowd with many yearning for God’s touch in their lives. The crowd in Pakistan was particularly overwhelming.
Giving a comprehensive account of the crusade he said the church started experiencing favour right from Nigeria while preparing to travel for the crusade in Pakistan.
All the people who applied for visa were granted while many who were connected to the commission traveled from all over the world to join in going to Pakistan for the crusade..
According to him, Pakistanis gave the church’s entourage heroic welcome when they got to the country. ‘Some were decorating us with flowers and there was a huge crowd waiting to receive us in the country. Many were staying on trees and lined up the roads to welcome us.’ it was quite overwhelming he said.
While acknowledging that the Pakistani authority cooperated with them and gave the church maximum support, he said logistics and security issue made them put off the crusade the second day it was meant to hold.
He said holding the programme the following day meant double the crowd of the first day.
He said this would have meant the place may pose a security risk. This is coupled with the fact that a day to the programme a train was hijacked by terrorists leading to the death of many.
‘They were grappling with that a day before we came. So they reasoned that the security situation was not certain.’
At a point, he said the authorities suggested another venue for the event but that it was practically impossible to keep up with the time.
He noted that the cameras could not capture many aspects of the programme noting that from what he gathered such massive outreach had not taken place in the country before. ‘So many people were healed, so many miracles: he said
Enenche noted that passion with provision from God makes missions possible. Before the Maiduguri crusade, the church had dedicated massive church buildings in Akwa Ibom, Calabar and a couple of other places.
Enenche said, “In Calabar, we broke the ground, a big expanse of land, in Akwa we dedicated a church built by a member of the church. In Maiduguri we dedicated another church that was built under one year without a dime I think from the church here.”(referring to the headquarter church)
He said the Maiduguri Church looks like the Headquarter church in Abuja adding that the church invested heavily in the North East State.
“We constructed boreholes for communities in the North East state which has been ravaged by terrorism for over 10 years. We supplied food to people and did all manner of charity work without a dime taken from the crusade as an offering. Without the help of God, how far can you go for a thing like this?” he said.

What Oyedepo said
Enenche said when he came back from his trip to Pakistan, Bishop David Oyedepo told him, “The things you see, take the help of God. It is not your ability. He said I should let him continually know what is going on. He said don’t assume the praise, praise the praise.”
He said the church is expecting invitations from countries surrounding Pakistan due to the huge success of the crusade
On the trip to Pakistan, he said, “Right from the immigration people in uniform were struggling to have snapshots with us. On our way out a soldier man came to meet us. He said I am your big fan. I am a Christian.”

Resources for God’s work
While emphasising the need for resources to spread the gospel, he said, “There is no devil that can claim that God is not a good God. He is good any day and he wants us to reflect that goodness in our lives”
He prayed for his listeners saying, “Your community will conclude that your God is the God to serve.”
Enenche who preached on financial multiplication said financial management is key to financial multiplication. “There are good givers who are bad managers and end up with scarcity. They pay tithe and give offerings but they are bad managers. God is both a blesser and a rewarder of good management. Two Christians both go to church one is a resources manager and the other is a spendthrift. God will reward that manager more than the spendthrift.”
Quoting the Bible, he said, that God did not allow rain to fall before man was created because there was no man to till the ground. “Resources avoid bad managers and surround good managers. An example of a bad manager is the prodigal son. Those who manage resources badly, never escape lack, those who manage resources well will never escape being blessed.”
