Tony Akinyemi to address church’s role in health education @ S.G.O. Uyeh Public Lecture

Renowned health and wellness expert and Lead Pastor of Shepherd’s Flock International Church, Pastor Tony Akinyemi, will deliver the third  edition of the public lecture of Pastor  S.G.O Uyeh.

The event is  part of activities marking the valedictory and retirement programme in honour of Pastor Uyeh, who is the immediate past Territorial Chairman of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, LAWNA Territory.

According to a statement issued by the Planning Committee and signed by the LAWNA Territorial Press Secretary, Tunde Adebisi, a medical expert from the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Araba, Abeokuta, Dr. Mrs. Grace Bajomo, will deliver the keynote address at the event.

The third edition of the S.G.O. Uyeh Public Lecture Series will focus on health matters as they relate to the Church.
The event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the headquarters of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, LAWNA Territory, Ketu, Lagos State.

The theme of the lecture is: “The Responsibility of the Church in Promoting Holistic Health for National Growth and Development.”

Other highlights of the occasion include the launch of the S.G.O. Uyeh Foundation and the public presentation of Pastor Uyeh’s biography in commemoration of his remarkable years of ministry.

Dignitaries expected at the event include the National President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Pastor Lawrence Olusesan Oladele, who will serve as the Father of the Day; the LAWNA Territorial Chairman, Pastor Moses Oluwole Ogunibe, who is the Chief Host; former Chief of Staff to the Ogun State Governor, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo; the Managing Director of Danmotech Limited, Engr. Daniel Omoyibo; church leaders; and other distinguished guests from different walks of life.

Pastor Uyeh, an octogenarian, recently retired and handed over leadership to his successor after 62 years of active ministry.

The lecture series was established to promote exemplary leadership ideals and immortalize his legacy as LAWNA Territorial Chairman for about three years before his voluntary retirement in April this year.

Pastor Uyeh remains one of the longest-serving ministers of the Gospel in Christendom.
