Paul Enenche tells Daddy Freeze: You’re a mad dog

by Church Times

There seems to be no end to the recent outburst of Pastor David Ibiyeomie as another pastor, Paul Enenche who is a spiritual son of Bishop David Oyedepo has come out hard on Daddy Freeze.

He described Freeze as a mad dog that would amount to nothing.

Enenche is the Pastor of Abuja-based Dunamis Ministry. He is a medical doctor by training.

In the video published on Church Gist platform on September 11, Enenche descended heavily on Daddy Freeze while also applauding the vitriols Pastor Ibiyeomie poured him.

He said he was shocked and stupefied when somebody from the US drew his attention to a video where Freeze was making jest of Oyedepo and how Freeze called Oyedepo a bald head.

Enenche who was fully of fury in the video did not spare any word to describe Freeze calling him jobless, wifeless and homeless.

Quoting scriptures to justify his use of words he said Jesus also used hard words on Herod. He said Jesus called Herod a wild fox.

He stressed that respect is part of our culture wondering if Freeze has a father because if he has a father he would not descend so low in trying to pull successful people down.

Calling the names of Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Bishop David Oyedepo, he said to Freeze that he could not in anyway get to the height of these men.

It is not clear from the video if he was talking to his church members. There are Indications he specifically did the video to address Freeze.

What if what you do is not in line with God, will the curse work? If you acquire all in this world and walk contrary to God you are nothing except in this world.

The pulpit is full of curse, curse, and curse today. God help us to follow Jesus, away from the Old Testament ways when Jesus had not come to die, resurrect and sent in the Holy Spirit.

It is clear you don’t know the Bible. Jesus had died, resurrected and glorified when Peter, by the leading of the Holy Ghost, proclaimed a man Ananias and his Sapphira wife dead. Paul called blindness on those against him and many more. Jesus carried serious cane to flog people out of the temple. So, enough with this ‘i thought he is a man of God’ cliche.
Study your Bible meticulously.

Please kindly quote where Peter proclaimed a man dead in the Bible. Paul pronounced a man blind for a purpose to teach him a lesson. Paul himself went blind for a season after he encountered Christ. Note that he was filled with the holy spirit when he made the pronouncement. it was not something he prepared. In the case of Peter, he only asked a question and the holy spirit took over from there. behold the feet of those who carried your husband does not mean he cursed them. those cases were operations of the holy spirit. in the case of our Ibiyeomie, he was reacting to a video where the man did not say a single word of hate. They now went to dig out a video that is three years old to justify what Ibiyeomie said. Daddy freeze had since moved from using uncouth language when people like Reno Omokri counselled him. The old video is now what people are reacting to. But ibiyeomie outburst was on the harmless commentary on marriage by Freeze. He was threatening to kill, to go to court and do everything possible to deal with Freeze. Is that of the holy spirit? if the holy spirit would work, he will not consult the court or police. The judgement will be instant. There is nowhere under the new covenant that the Lord permits us to curse. god will not consult us like he did not consult Peter before he dealt with Ananias and Saphira

There seems to no end to the carnality being demonstrated behind pulpits. The facial expressions of Paul Enenche speak volumes. Obviously one sees anger, aggression, hate, embittered and allied dispositions.I

I am amazed why there is so much arrogance in today’s average pulpits. All those big academic and intellectual jingoism were alien to the Bible we tote. Every profession is replete with its own peculiar mouth-watering jargons. One should try atomic or nuclear physics for size.I

I read a book by Lt. Col. R. B. Thieme, Jnr, the erudite bible scholar and former pastor of Berachah Church, Houston expressing that doctrine must be presented in an isogogical, categorical and exegetical manner, and that the latter is a word-by-word, verse-by-verse, grammatical, syntactical, etymological, and contextual analysis of scripture………A professional in an other field would be at sea with those expressions.

However you will not find a single complicated word from Genesis to Revelation. If Peter, an illiterate fisherman had been on ground in Enenche’s audience, he would have been critically intimidated. I think it was Dr. James Hudson Taylor, when asked the three main attributes of a man of God, replied, No. 1- Humility, No. 2- Humility, No. 3- Humility. The Lord said, Learn of me for I am meek (gentle) and lowly of heart.

If one had been privileged to read the life of humble and exponentially anointed men in history such as Jacob Boehme, William Law, Watchman Nee, Sadhu Sundar Singh, Thomas Kempis, Jonathan Edwards, Dr. John Sung, Blaise Pascal, Augustine of Hippo, Tertullian, George Mueller, Prof. T. C. Upham, Francis of Assisi, Girolamo Savonarola, T. A. Sparks, Witness Lee, Prof. Clive Staple Lewis, John Yepes, Mothe de la Guyon, etc. The list of these post first century saints of which the world is not worthy is endless. Many of them were great scholars but never arrogant.I

John Sung completed Bachelor’s degree in two years with First Class, completed Master’s degree in 6 months, top of his class, through with his doctoral degree in 9 months. To further equip himself for ministry, he enrolled for a 3-year theological course. He was through in 9 months with all-round distinctions. C. S. Lewis attained Triple First at Oxford/Cambridge. Jonathan Edwards, who wrote the book, Sinners in the hands of an angry God, entered Yale at 13 and graduated at 17 as the Valedictorian. Watchman Nee was the valedictorian in his own College days. Blaise Pascal was already designing conic sections at 12. He
formulated the Pascal Triangle theorem. Tertullian graduated at 13 and was so bible-intoxicated that He was reputed able to recite virtually the entire Genesis to Revelation with the punctuations. George Mueller at age 90 was still preaching throughout the world. He read the Bible 200 times on his knees and 200 times at his desk. Witness Lee who passed on about two decades ago was humility re-defined. I’m of the opinion that he wrote more books than any other human being, dead or living since Adam. Yet all these men and others I would have cited were humility personified.I

Moses was mighty in words and in deeds, yet was recorded the meekest man in all the earth in his generation. God attested him in Jeremiah 15: 1 as the most outstanding person who could stand before him since Adam till that time.

And it is desirable to recall Eph. 4: 20 to regularly ask, Have we so learned Christ, in all we say or do. At times, we lack basic theological concepts, when we merely free-style the scriptures. For instance, if we look closely at the scenario of Ananias and Sapphira, Peter didn’t initiate a curse on the man, it was while Peter was still rebuking him, that divine judgement took over and the man died. Peter didn’t pronounce a Fall and Die curse. The scenario of Paul and the High Priest is far remote from the Freeze episode; it was not a contention or a duel over doctrinal issues. The High Priest against the Law ordered that Paul be slapped and Paul, who was an apostle of the Most High at that point in time, in the economy of God, under the New Testament, was far superior and exponentially for relevant to God’s Kingdom. Indeed he apologised to fulfil the righteousness, though he was not under the Law that he cited. But he must have realised intuitively that he was someone in the light being tried by someone in the dark, and he knew his journey with the Lord’s commission was still far.

In as much as the scripture instructs on mutual respect and honouring consecrated teachers, the mood of the Christ -life, especially as portrayed in the book of Galatians, transcends the law, religion, tradition and forms. And indeed, Jesus never contend with people that insulted him except when they demonstrated hypocrisy or negatively touched the matter of the Kingdom. It was the same hypocrisy that make Paul, a latter years convert to rebuke Peter, the “chiefest” apostle -Galatians 2: 11. It seems to me that Peter was penalised for that hypocrisy by his displacement by James-Galatians 2: 9, Acts 15: 6-28. Incidentally, no one displaces today’s leaders, no matter the unbecoming depth of malpractices or misbehaviour. Too many leaders are consistently embarrassing the Church before thoughtful unbelievers in recent times.

Daddy Freeze has his own shortcomings, but what he is being mete out to him is disproportionate to his “sins”. I have a feeling that from the time he started touching on financial issues within the Pentecostal settings, he had steadily started incurring displeasure of many men of God. Apparently, none is likely to declare openly why he or she is incensed against this “dog in the manger”, who seems to have devoted time for scriptures more than the average over-busy preachers.

As Bishop Abraham Olaleye, the revival -thirsty man of God observed a free days ago, there is too much money at the disposal of many of our pastors. Take for instance, if I’m a pastor over 10,000 members in a high brow environment, whose average income is say N500,000 monthly. It follows that the monthly tithe income will be N500,000,000 (N500 millions). If the members are faithful and committed, the first fruits expectation every January will be N5,000,000,000 (N5 billions). Now imagine a pastor or reverend who have jurisdiction over 50 times that many, i.e. 500,000 worshippers, though the overall income may not necessarily be 50 times as much. If I’m carnal and covetious, what I as the pastor need do is to just to appoint a spineless stooge as co-signatory to the Church account and I will be headed for Forbes list.

It could be the prospect of ceding 10% of their income and their entire January income that is making Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zukerburg, Warren Buffett, Mike Adenuga , etc to steer clear of our churches. But I’m hopeful that the time will come and speedily too, that the Church of God will be purged of all these contamination and pollution.
