The Delta State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has given awards of recognition to notable church leaders in the state.
They include former Presidents of the fellowship, Pastor Ayo Orisejafor, and Pastor Felix Omobude.
The award was given at the fellowship’s end of the year thanksgiving service which was held recently at the Ultra-modern auditorium of the fellowship on Agbarho/Ughelli Expressway.
Recognition awards were also given to Bishop Simeon Okar, Arch Bishop Goddowell Avwomakpa, Bishop Dr. Pius Odioko, Bishop Kingsley Enakirienu, and a host of other church leaders.
The theme of thanksgiving is “Great is His Faithfulness”
A member of the House of Representative, Francis Waire ministered at the event.
He enjoined Nigerians to intensify their prayers for the country.
Waire spoke on how God’s agenda can be achieved in the country while also congratulating the awardees.
According to him, Nigeria can’t survive without the church and the guiding hands of God.
“The current situation of massive insecurity prevailing everywhere is worrisome. And this should drive us more to God. Nigeria is God’s property which HE CANNOT FOREGO for any reason. We Nigerians must pray, fast for the well-being of Nigeria as a country.”
He noted that government needs to restructure the country for peaceful, purposeful, and sustainable development.
Waire seized the opportunity of the event to lead the people in prayers for Nigeria.
At the service, the 2022 Calendar was launched while special prayers were made for the governor of the state.
Chief Sheriff Oborevwori who provided a 150KVA generating plant to supply power to the PFN auditorium was also appreciated and prayed for at the event which took about four hours.
Dignitaries
The Governor of Delta State was represented at the event by the government house chief of staff, Chief Barr. Ovie Agas. Speaker of the House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborewvori was represented by his chief of staff, Chief Okorodudu.
Also in attendance were Bishop Dr. Pius Odioko, the Provinces chairmen and their local government chairmen, and a host of others.
The Delta State Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi used the opportunity of the service to thank the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Agbarho Improvement Union, and a host of other stakeholders who helped in the acquisition of Alpha and Omega City land for PFN Delta State.
