How to change your story by Pastor Wale Olulana

Senior Pastor of Harmony Christian Centre, United Kingdom, Pastor Wale Olulana has given insight into how a man can change his story, especially when going through turbulent situation and circumstances.
In his early morning broadcast today August 1, Olulana said changing one’s story for good is a function of one’s disposition and ability to recognise when the challenge began.
He explained that life sometimes comes with unpalatable situations that were never envisaged. ‘the first response is not to despair but to appreciate that no matter what life throws at you, your story will end in praise. Many times we don’t know how we ended up having a bad marriage. We don’t know how our health deteriorated.
“We don’t know how we became bankrupt. But then, we must first settle in our mind that the circumstances we are going through will turn to praise. It is just a phase.’
He said nothing should take a child of God unawares. ‘we must realise that no matter how strong a house is, the storm will come. The storm is not the problem. The attention should be with the house. Our attitude matters in a time of crisis.’ he said
Using the story of Elisha and the young prophets in 2kings 6 as an illustration, he said, “the young prophets desired a larger accommodation. But they did not know that the axe head would fall while working on their new accommodation. But it fell. When it fell they cried out to Elisha and said to him that the axe was borrowed.
‘If your story must change, don’t keep on blaming yourself. Your help begins with calling on God. The young prophets recognised their need for God and called upon Elisha for help.’
Olulana explained further that there is a need to know at what point things went wrong ‘Elisha asked the young prophets where the axe head fell. You must try to recall what you did that made your marriage go wrong.
‘Where did you miss it, what could have led to your bad health condition. Ask yourself where did you go wrong. If you realise where you fell, then be assured that Jesus has the capacity to forgive and restore you and give you a new beginning. If he shed his blood for us he is able to give us all other things freely.’
Concluding he said, when the Lord restores you, you must be courageous to pick up your life and start again. ‘Don’t be afraid to start again. God is a God of new beginning. Elisha asked the young prophets to pick up the axe head after it had been restored. Don’t be afraid to pick up your life again. God is still at work. You’re heading for a miracle’
