Tuition-free OPM university, my motivation to write book on Apostle Chinyere-Njoku

by Church Times

A Biographer, Paul Njoku who wrote a book on the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry, Pastor Chibuzor Chinyere has explained that the unending philanthropic gestures of the apostle and his latest decision to establish a tuition-free university informed the book he wrote on him.

In the book titled, “APOSTLE CHIBUZOR: AN UNCOMMON SERVANT OF GOD; THE PHILANTHROPIC TITHES & OFFERINGS, Njoku showcased many of the philanthropic activities of the Portharcourt based pastor.

Incidentally, Njoku had not met Apostle Chinyere before writing the book. “I have been watching his activities and reading about him in the media. But I have never met him and I never worshiped in his church before I decided to write the book.

“But there are many materials in the media about his kind gestures which nobody has denied. There are many proofs to show that he is a man with a large heart. From media reports and documentaries on him, I came to the conclusion that he is an uncommon servant of God that should be honoured with a book”

Njoku said further, “It was in August when he announced that he would start a free university in Nigeria by next year that I got the motivation to write on him. I believe people like him should be celebrated. There is no amount of tribute on him that will be too much.

“But then, it is God working in him to be a blessing to humanity. While many men of God are busy using church money to expand their territory and building empires for themselves, Apostles Chinyere has been investing in people.”

My contribution to free varsity

The 261-page book according to Njoku, “Is my humble contribution to the proposed OPM Free University. My hope is that the proceeds from the book will be committed to the university project. I am also enjoining wealthy Nigerians both at home and abroad to support this great vision.

Paul Njoku

“There are many people in this country with money they don’t need. They don’t even have an idea of what to use the money for. The free university project is the best place to put such money”

Njoku said, “Apostle Chibuzor is a unique man of God from every indication. He is a wonderful Christian, prophet, and gifted cleric. I justify his genuineness as chronicled how he philanthropically identifies and gives hope to the hopeless, poor, destitute, and the less privileged across the globe, nation, religion and class.”

While noting that Apostle Cbibuzor has liberated many from the pangs of poverty and negative addictions, Njoku urged the Nigerian government to partner with him in this laudable project.

He also asked that he be accorded a national honour for helping the government address issues of poverty.
