Saying Jesus never visited a poor man shows your heart is corrupt-Arome

by Church Times

The Founder of Remnant Christian Network, Apostle Arome Osayi has come hard on Pastor David Ibiyiomie for saying Jesus never visited poor people when he was on earth.

Arome bared his mind while ministering recently at a branch of the Remnant Christian Network in Cardiff, United Kingdom.

in the programme monitored online by Church Times, Arome said it is malpractice for a pastor to have made such statement that Jesus never visited a poor man while also adding that making such statement is an indication of a corrupt mind..

He words, ‘It is malpractice to say Jesus did not visit a poor man. It is an indication that your heart is corrupt. You have painted Jesus in a bad light. You don’t know Jesus. It’s a malpractice. It is a malpractice to say a poor church is a weak church because you don’t understand the dynamics of a territorial government.’

While noting that some churches are like the Laodecia church, he said, ‘The church has now been blinded by the angel of commerce.where progress is measured by pound sterling.’

Earlier in the message which apparently was on stewardship he said, the subject of stewardship is a broad subject but that it is now looking as if the goal of Christianity is to make people millionaire because of the undue emphasis on finance.

He said the Christian has been called to live for Christ adding that the life of a Christian is like that of a soldier who is ready to die anytime.. ‘For me to live is Christ and to die is gain..Death therefore if I live for Christ is gain. I have seen people give up the ghost a few times. And it’s a very spiritual thing.

‘The person is exposed to the fact that he is actually not as strong as he thought he was. And he does not have the ability to change anything anyway. So if he did not squander his life in the services of Jesus Christ, it is a terrible place to be.’

Arome emphasised that the reason for the church is not to make believers millionaires.

While pointing out that some of his listeners will be millionaires he said, ‘Just in case you become one of them, know that it is a call to stewardship’
