A Lagos-based firm Oxbrand Planet has concluded plans to hold a one-day workshop on publishing.

The CEO of the organization Mr. Bunmi Johnson in a statement said the workshop has been designed to introduce participants to modern publishing technics.

“Many people think publishing is for some special people.  We are going to debunk that myth and make people come to terms with the new trends in publishing. The workshop will simplify publishing. We will expose participants to what they need to know and how they can publish their works.

“There are a lot of other things that we hope to expose participants to. For instance, they will be taught how they can make money from publishing. And how they can take advantage of the internet to make money for themselves.”

He said the workshop will also put participants through how they can publish even if they are not fantastic writers. “You don’t have to know how to write before you can be an author. There are basic things we will expose participants to that will bring them out of their shells and make them authors. The truth is that everybody has a story and everybody is capable of becoming an author.”

According to him, the workshop will hold by 10 am on Wednesday, September 28 at 5, Afisman Drive, Anifowoshe, Ikeja, Lagos.
