Oguta matriarch, Evelyn Okwosha-Nwabiani passes on @ 85

A matriarch of the Oguta Community in Imo State, Mrs. Evelyn Hapiness Okwosha-Nwabiani has died.
She died at the age of 85 according to family sources after a brief illness.
Mrs. Okwosha-Nwabiani who is also the mother-in-law of the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Nigerian Newsleader Newspaper, Mr. Celestine Okafor, was known for her good works in the Oguta community.
Until her death, Mrs Evelyn Happiness Okwosha-Nwabiani was a teacher, gifted seamstress, and devout Christian.
She was a respected community matriarch who was known for her frank talk on issues affecting individuals and her community.
She was also known for promoting peace, unity, and love among individuals, groups, families, and community people in Oguta town.
Mrs Nwabiani was married for over 50 years to her beloved and highly respected husband of blessed memory, Chief Francis Bonny Nwabiani, FBN. He was a retired corporate Accountant and also an Oguta community leader (the Damanze Ezekpe of Umukwonkomoshi village, Umuenechi clan, Oguta).
At the time of her passing Mrs Okwosha-Nwabiani, was the oldest member of her paternal family, the Nwosu Okwosha family of the Umudei clan in Oguta town.
Born in 1939, Mrs. Okwosha-Nwabiani was the first daughter of Chief (Mrs) Ine Nwabishi.
In a statement, Publisher of Nigerian Newsleader, Mr Okafor described the late matriarch as a blessing to the human race. “We are certainly going to miss her. She was a blessing to her community and a blessing to all those who came her way.”
A statement by her first son, Mr Frank Obiora Nwabiani, an Abuja-based businessman informed that plans for her burial are ongoing.
The late matriarch leaves behind five surviving children: Frank Obiora Nwabiani; Marilyn Nwabiani-Ani; Juliet Nwabiani Okafor; Rita Nwabiani-Uzor and Sharon Ngozi Nwabiani, among many great, grandchildren.
