Founder of Worshippers Arena Chapel, Aba, Abia State, Pastor Chris Chidozie, has said he has no other goal in ministry other than the winning of souls and edifying the body of Christ.
Chidozie made the statement in a chat with Church Times while commenting on the preponderance of people who come to ministry for pecuniary gain.
He said when people don’t know the purpose of ministry they dabble into all kinds of things which bother more on the sensual rather than the spiritual.
‘From day one when we started, the goal was clear. Bring more souls to God’s kingdom and edify the body of Christ. The church needs men and women who have a heart for God and who want to see to the strengthening of the body.’ He said.
Reflecting on his years in ministry, Chidozie said he started his divine assignment in 2012 in Aba adding that the vision God gave him was very clear and that is to win souls and encourage the saints.
He said his passion for soul-winning was born out of the deep revelation of God’s word, and prophetic insight God has given him. ‘This is what has set me apart as a voice of fire in this generation.’ He said.
While explaining that his inspiration comes largely from God, he said he has also been greatly influenced by fathers like Bishop David Oyedepo and Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
On Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, he says, ‘ he is a dynamic teacher, prophetic voice, and sought-after conference speaker known for his high-sounding revelatory depth that transforms lives.
‘His teachings on the reality of Christ serves as a guide to new creation teachers and believers. That is why I follow him. The teachings of Bishop Oyedepo has also been a great inspiration and blessings to me.’
He described his ministry as a movement, not just a ministry.
‘We run annual fire filled events like the Azuza Gospel Campaign which draws thousands, and the explosive Aba Praise Shutdown. Through these programmes lives are being saved, destinies restored, and cities transformed.
Over the years, Pastor Chris has hosted and featured in many crusades, seminars, and revival programmes both locally and internationally.
