Just when the world is being gripped with the demon of fear and an impending apocalypse, the Managing Director/CEO, Financial Institution Training Centre. FITC, Chizor Malize has appealed to women to fight the fear virus noting that their way to prosperity and stable lifestyle is their ability to live a fear-free life.

Malize was speaking on the theme, “Exploring the prosperous decade 2020-2029″ at the 2020 edition of All Ladies Initiative programme which held at the Sheraton Hotels recently. It was the 11th edition of such programme.

She said, “God’s children do not fear the world will come to an end because a child of God is supposed to be prepared always. So a child of God is focused and committed to the assignment of God. The greatest part of 2020 is the turn of new decade and new opportunity where every one of us must tap into the word of God to become not just prosperous but more prosperous for the purpose of kingdom expansion.”

Quoting from the book of Psalm 1:1-3, she said, “God ordained prosperity for His children. If you appropriate that scripture to yourself you will know that God is not joking with us. It tells us prosperity is God’s command. Some people can be apologetic about it; some people can be modest about it. But I hold on to that word of God and appropriate it to myself and think about what God speaks to us about prosperity.”

She said further, “Prosperity is not just about finances. There is also spiritual prosperity which is the way we enrich ourselves with the words of God. It is about being able to run our lives effectively. So, spiritual prosperity is as important as financial prosperity.”

She however, added that “emotional prosperity brings peace, joy which we can’t do without. While mental prosperity involves the revelation knowledge in our abilities to do extraordinary things. God also wants us to prosper alongside our families, siblings, colleagues and everyone around us. God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants.”

While urging her listeners to equip themselves for prosperity she noted that without creating a compelling future and killing the virus of fear they cannot live a life that will impact others.

She counseled, “Everybody must dream big, live a purposeful life and have a vision. Your vision cannot remain static. By the time you’re through with one, one God will give you another one.”

She then stressed, “Kill that fear because fear is one of the things that kill vision. Fear keeps you in the same position and prevents you from growing. You have to enrich yourself by seeking knowledge and reading books. Gain experience, travel, take a new course. Today, literacy is not only ability to read and write, You have to learn all the applications of today that will make your life better and embrace the things that are new so that you can exploit new things.

“Be positive. Bear in mind that in failure there is something to learn. The first step in achieving prosperity and wealth is learning to appreciate what you already have and you must query yourself to find purpose as God will not write it on paper and put it under your bed. In giving we receive. So give freely. Above all, if you are successful beam light to the world, impact others.”

The initiator of the programme, Dr. Sade Toyin-Kehinde while addressing participants said it was time for women to wake up to their dreams and explore their potentials

Dr. Sade Toyin-Kehinde who is also Associate Pastor, Agape Generation International Church, AGIC, said, “When God made the woman He made her as value added personality. So, you better get up from where you are and utilize your potentials. Seek for counsel, seek for knowledge.”

She told the gathering that the organization would readily offer assistance to women who need help and counsel in their businesses.

According to her the last ten years of the organisation were foundational years but that the next decade will witness an improvement on those achievements.

“This decade is the prosperous decade which means we are not just looking at year 2020 but we are looking at the next ten years and talking about the next ten years is very gratifying for us because we can see that when people are saying the economy is melting down and things are not going well, God is showing us the areas and fields where things can be achieved.

“Today we have been able to touch many lives because of the enablement of God in our lives. Our facilitator talked about killing our fear. There are so many things in the world today that make people afraid but we are saying to ourselves that we better kill the fear and we should not let it grind us to a halt. You may crawl or take baby steps but don’t let fear hinder you from making progress.”

She explained further that prosperity is not limited to finances adding that “it is about the spirit, soul and body. There are emotional prosperity, physical prosperity and lots more.”

She noted that the 2020 event was peculiar because it was the edition that began the new decade.

The inspiring event lasted for about four hours.

A participant, Mrs. Funmi Olasoji described the program as interesting and educative.

“The program is interesting and I really enjoyed it because I just started my own business. It has really equipped me with what I need to thrive in my business and I wish to be here next year. This edition has really taught me a lot of things. I implore other women out there to try and be part of this program next time as their lives will never remain the same”, Olasoji said.

Mrs. Caroline Bassey of Haigret Homes was full of thanks to God for being part of the event. “It is awesome and unique, I give God the glory,” she quipped.
