by Church Times

The General Overseer of the Christian Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye earlier today; April 13 paid a visit to eight members of the church who were kidnapped in Kaduna but have since been released.

He made the disclosure on his Facebook Page saying that he decided to visit his “children who God delivered from the kidnappers’ den on their way to the venue of Let’s go a fishing Exercise.”

He said to the glory of God, the abducted members of the church are hale and hearty.

From the Facebook post, there are indications that he also took time to pray for members of the church who were sick.

Adeboye said he also had to honour the invitation of the governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai to pray for the state, its people, and leadership after laying hands on members of the church who were sick.

He prayed that the peace of God and his kingdom will be established in Kaduna State and all parts of the world where the children of God are.

Adeboye is also quoted in a report by Nations Newspapers to have said El-Rufai has “a tender heart, whose other side many will get to see though they may be criticizing him now.”

Referring to El-rufai,  he said, “We know that you have a problem that only God can solve. The problem is far beyond the abilities of any human being. We have known each other for years. I know the kind of person you are. I know you are tender-hearted.

“I know how you definitely must be feeling, particularly when the kidnappings are going on. When they begin to kidnap school children, I know how you must be feeling.”

He assured the governor that God would fight for the state while also commiserating with families of members of the church who were abducted.
