” …O LORD GOD, forgive, I beseech Thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small. “- Amos 7:2, KJV.
The above quoted Scripture was part of intercessory prayer from Prophet Amos at a time when the Nation of Israel was experiencing GOD’S wrath because of their transgressions.
When this wrath was not abated, Prophet Amos repeated the same prayer in verse 5 of the same Chapter to plea for GOD’S Mercy and forgiveness for the erring Nation.
And of course, GOD hearkened unto the Prophet Amos intersessions in the following verse 6- ” The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD.
In the journey of life, we all need timely divine assistance in order to reach our goals or fulfill our destinies as individuals, families, Communities, or as a Nation. Hence, we need the backups of divine helpers through whom GOD will use to accelerate our journey of life if we must fulfill our divine callings and purposes in life.
Let us, therefore, be sensitive in our spirits and be vigilant so that we can recognize the bearers of divine assistance whom GOD may be sending to us for specific purposes to enable us to fulfill His counsel concerning our lives in JESUS’ Name. And as we do so, there shall be no more stagnation or setbacks. Rather, it will be divine acceleration for us as individuals, families, Communities, and the Nation of Nigeria in JESUS’ Name.
