How counting your blessings can give you a turnaround this season

by Church Times

It is the nature of Man to always forget or take for granted GOD’S innumerable blessings and just focus on our lacks or expectations.

Apart from the gifts of life and good health for us and our loved ones which we often take for granted, there are so many other blessings that we don’t reckon with or are unknown to us.

Blessings

Blessings such as fresh air, freedom of movement or association, divine security, provision, etc are often taken for granted until we slightly miss any of them.

There’s a Yoruba adage that says ” Eniti o ba mo inu ro, ni yio mo ope da”.  meaning, he who thinks deeply will know how to give thanks,  It connotes deep thought will put us in a position to recognize GOD’S blessings over our lives and our loved ones as we count them one by one.

Brethren, as the year is fast drawing close to an end, even though some of our expectations are not met yet, still we should cast our minds back and recognize most of GOD’S favours/blessings over our lives, families, Communities, and this Nation and give Him thanks from the depths of our hearts.

It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed. Otherwise, the enemies could have rejoiced over us. And so, as we put aside our worries and instead begin to thank Him for seen and unseen miracles around us, GOD in His own infinite mercies will yet bless our lives, loved ones, Communities, and indeed our Nation (Nigeria) with pleasant surprises before the end of this year 2022 that is about to pass away in JESUS Name.

Once there is life, there’s still hope for better days for anyone who may still be passing through one challenge or the other. We should cheer up for our good expectations from Him as our JEHOVAH JIREH, JEHOVAH NISSI, JEHOVAH RAPHA, and EL-SHADDAI shall not be in vain in JESUS’ Name.

“For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end”- Jer. 29:11, KJV. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance.
