Musa Bello Musa, the ex-Fulani Muslim who embraced Christ many years ago and who has been evangelising his kinsmen has explained how he came about two wives while also urging the Body of Christ to keep his family in prayer..

In the last couple of weeks, Evangelist Musa has been dragged on social media by some of his fellow ex-Muslims who claimed that he abandoned his first wife and went ahead to marry a Muslim named Aisha.

They also made many disparaging remarks about him accusing him of changing cars and living a life of opulence. Some of the ex-Muslims led by Evangelist Ibrahim Dikko said until he repents from his alleged immorality that he would not be accepted as being part of them.

But in a video broadcast on Thursday July 3 monitored by Church Times, Musa gave a comprehensive explanation of the crisis he has been facing in his marriage.

He said when he became born again, the family of his first wife kept putting pressure on her to leave the marriage.

He said there were times they would ask her to come to Kano where her family is based and would not allow her to come back home. She would stay their for months. This happened on several occasions.

He said his wife kept going back and forth leaving him and their two children at home. When he could no longer bear her continuous absence, he sought for counsel from some church leaders and his own biological mother who encouraged him to go and remarry.

He explains, “They did not just advise me to remarry. What led to the decision was the last time my wife left home to go and stay with her parents. She stayed with them for close to seven months.

“All along whenever she goes like that I would travel to Kano to go and meet her to bring her back. But her parents were against me. They felt since I had become a christian I cannot afford to keep marrying their daughter, that I am an infidel.

‘The last time my wife left, she stayed with her parent for seven .months. It was during that time I was advised to remarry because it was believed that she would not come back.’

But he was wrong as his wife later came back home. But Musa had already gone ahead to remarry another woman. He married the woman legally according to him.

While agreeing that he made a mistake heeding the advice of some pastors and his mother to remarry, he said, ‘I have always loved my wife (first wife) and I don’t joke with her. If I make ten posts on social media, you can be certain that one of the posts will be on my family.

“But problem started when her parents were insisting she could no longer stay with me. They influenced her greatly.. The mistake I made was to hurriedly go and get married to another lady. I did that because I was always left with our two children at home.’

Musa explained further that there was no time he drove his first wife away from home and there was no time he abandoned her as being alleged by his detractors.

While making the broadcast he called the first wife to come and address his online followers to show that she had come back to the marriage.

The woman who looked quite radiant spoke in Hausa language indicating that she was back to the home and that God had taken control.

Musa added however that the mistake of marrying another woman had been done.

New wife not a Muslim

On allegation that the person he re-married is a Muslim, he said, ‘It is not true. The person I re-married is a Christian from Delta State. It’s only that she bears the name Aisha. Her parents are also Christians.

He pleaded with some of his ex-Muslim friends to exercise restrain about their attack on his person urging them to find out details and get facts before going online to make allegations

Musa who had always been vocal.in proclaiming Christ both online and offline said his life had always been at risk since he became a Christian.

There was a time he had to run into hiding to escape being killed by some who felt betrayed for his decision to serve Jesus.

Multiple cars

Addressing the issue about the several cars that he uses, he said, ‘Some of the posts about me was that I change cars anyhow They even went as far as saying that I am the richest among the ex-Muslims.

‘I want to say that the car that they see me change is being sponsored by a man who believes I should be protected from being killed.

They man does not want me to use one car more than one year. He is the one who changes my car for security reasons so that people who are after my life will not be able to track me.’

He debunked insinuations that he has issues with the late Rev David Azamman of Kaduna State who died in an auto crash recently.

‘i never had issues with him. The last time we met was before the Maiduguri crusade that he had. And he told me that he would come to my house after the crusade so we could talk unfortunately he passed on. ‘

Musa promised his online followers that the issue concerning his marriage which he said began in 2021 would be resolved while also calling for prayers of believers.
