Coronavirus: Don’t be in a hurry to travel out when it recedes
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye has admonished Nigerians not to be in a hurry to travel of the country even after the present covid-19 recedes.
He gave the admonition shortly after his message online today April 19.
He said the return journey to normalcy has started assuring that pastors would soon resume their duty posts.
He however urged Nigerians to continue to maintain proper hygiene warning that “Any journey abroad that is not very crucial should be postponed. God will give us victory before it extends to the rest of the world. So I urge that all the jumping up and down be suspended until everything is safe again.”
At the onset of his message he pleaded with church members to continue to pray for God’s mercy declaring that the return journey to normalcy will be steady.
He suggested that religious leaders should be co-opted into helping in the spiritual battle against future disaster adding that “As God gives us victory in this one, we must be careful to “return all the glory to God because we don’t want the victories we have won so far to be reversed.
“We don’t want a relapse of this scourge. This corona virus will recede but it is not going to disappear. We had ebola and some other plagues in the past that disappeared. But this one will not. Our prayers is that God will give us a permanent victory”

He also called for prayers against fire outbreak, which he called “the big one”. He said “We need to pray against fire outbreak because we don’t want the big one to come to pass. Pray against storms. Let us clear the gutters before the rain begins Let us to talk to God in our little corners and He will have mercy on us.”
His message, titled Joy cometh explored the imminence of joy in the land. He stated that one of the major significance of Easter is that it ushered in good news of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
He then stressed that because of Jesus’s death and resurrection sicknesses, poverty, bareness and darkness don’t have a place in the life of followers of Christ.
