The founder of Living Living Faith Church ( a.k.a. Winners Chapel ) Bishop David Oyedepo has given insight on how the believer can conquer the evil of the day even as he noticed that there is so much evil in the country.
Oyedepo gave the insight while preaching during the church’s covenant day of the family which took place recently at the Church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.
In the sermon, he said the only sure way to conquer the evil around is to always walk in the spirit and maintain that spirit-filled life always.
Oyedepo said only those who maintain this walk with God will be able to conquer the evils that come their way.
According to him, the challenge many believers have is that they don’t listen to the voice of the holy spirit to give them direction. He said many also ignore the prompting of the holy spirit.
He also admonished Christians to be practitioners of the Word if they want to live a fulfilled life.
Making copious references to the Bible, he reminded the congregation that through the Word of God they are redeemed living stones.
He told his listeners that they have been created to command dominion in the world.
Oyedepo told the congregation that they are saved and redeemed as ambassadors of Christ in the world. He maintained that Christians must reflect the characters of Christ in the world if they truly want to live in dominion of situations and circumstances.
The charismatic preacher stressed the importance of the word of God while making allusions to several Bible passages.
He took time to pray for all the worshipers during the programme while anointing some with oil from the altar.
He rebuked the perpetrators of evil against the church in Nigeria and the country in general
