The 9th edition of the yearly round-table conference organised by Bearer of Light Ministry has been slated to hold from Friday, September 26 to Saturday, September 27, between 9 and 2 pm each day at the ministry’s headquarters in Igando, Lagos.
A statement by the convener of the conference, Pastor Sam Oyemade, informed that the conference aims to deepen the understanding of scripture with a community of Bible scholars and experienced teachers of God’s word, sharing insights and interpretations of the Word of God.
Notable teachers of God’s word slated for the two-day event are Bishop Abraham Olaleye and his wife, Gbemi Olaleye, Bro. Pade Tokun, Bishop Joseph Akintunde and Evangelist David Ikhielea.
Also expected to share their thoughts are Prof. Ademola Adedipe, Pst. Kayode Oyedepo, Pst. Dokun Adebayo and Evangelist Ebele Light who has been making a lot of impact on social media with her soul-searching teachings.
Pst. Olu George from South Africa is expected to join the discussion online.
Oyemade explained that the primary goal of the conference is to build up and strengthen the Body of Christ.
The theme for the conference is, “Jesus Warns”.
Lead speakers will be examining the Impact of Jesus’ Warning on the 21st-century ministers
Oyemade stated that the conference serves as a platform for leaders within the Kingdom of God to unite in the study of Scripture and gain a deeper understanding of the Lord’s teachings.
He said, “The IMC is a theological gathering to discuss true Christianity, the ideal church and the ministry of
Christ. Jesus Christ warned the world about the danger of missing out on eternal life with God, but warned His disciples about the danger of false doctrines, because the obvious activities
of the Devil concerning the two groups differ.
“For the first group, the focus is on deliverance from sin, while for the
second group, the emphasis is on preventing heresy. Ironically, Satan is well aware of this scenario and approaches it meticulously.”
The focus of this year’s conference, he stressed, “is to examine the impact of Jesus’ warning about the ‘leaven” sponsored by the devil on 21st-century ministers and to find ways to avert these influences.”
He expressed confidence that the conference will help refocus the church for greater productivity.
“The goal is to make ministry refreshing and rewarding for the servants of God.” He said.
