The transformative power of resurrection in a nation

‘He is not here, but IS RISEN: remember how he spoke unto you when He was yet in Galilee” – Luke 24:6 ,KJV.

The foundation and the components that build up a Nation consist of families. And each family either large or small is made up of individuals.

Since a Nation is an aggregation of families, whatever happens in a Nation – good or bad is a reflection of the individuals that form the families.

For a Nation like Nigeria to be changed for the better through the Transformative Power of Resurrection, the starting point should be from the individuals that constitute the Nigerian families.

Most of us may be quick to point at the direction of our Leaders as regards some noticeable shortcomings in area of Good governance forgetting that majority of these Leaders are reflections of the true character of our Society. Little wonder then why some Opposition Leaders or critics failed woefully whenever they found themselves in positions of the people in Power.

The key message of Easter is that of Hope – Hope to individuals that are passing through battles of life and other difficult life challenges that may be making them very uncomfortable. Hope to families or Communities that may be experiencing situations that are threatening their corporate existence as are being witnessed in some parts of Benue and Plateau States.

The same Message of Hope is also applicable to a Nation that is being traumatised by series of Government Policies that have aggravated poverty level and made it widespread under the guise of provision of critical infrastructures.

Therefore, at our individual levels, if we allow the Transformative Power of Resurrection that made our LORD Jesus Christ to rise up from the dead to work through us, our Societies and in deed Nigeria will be a better place to live for all of us. And so the starting point should you and me.

Trust we all had a great Easter celebration
