TACN seminary holds novelty match ahead of convocation

The 34th Convocation Ceremony and Dedication of the New Staff Quarters of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (LAWNA) Theological Seminary, Ayegbaju, Ilesa, Osun State, will on Wednesday  kick off with a Novelty football between the Staylites and Graduants, also a Gala Night/Award Ceremony.

The football match between the Staylites and Graduants will be played by 8am of Wednesday, 22nd November, 2023, as this will be another means of fun to see the Staylites and Graduants of the Seminary slug it out on the field of play..

While speaking to the Church Times, the Seminary’s Sports Director, Pastor. Taiwo Fasogbon, stated that the match is an avenue to bring joy and happiness to the Seminary, also towards the forthcoming Convocation Ceremony which is ahead of the students.

The Gala Night/Award ceremony will also hold on the same day (Wednesday), as it was a special day the Seminary set aside to appreciate some persons who have in one way or the other contributed to the growth and development of the Seminary.

Meanwhile, the Diocesan Bishop of Ilesa of the Anglican Communion, Bishop Prof Dapo Asaju will speak at the 34th convocation ceremony of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (LAWNA) Theological Seminary (LATS), Ilesa, Osun State.

The Convocation ceremony will also lead to the awards of Post Graduate Diploma certificates, Bachelor degrees, and Diploma certificates, as it covered graduates from 2021/2022 to 2022/2023 academic session.

Bishop Prof. Asaju will be speaking on the Convocation theme; “Theological Education and The Building of an Egalitarian Society”.

The Visitor, Pastor (Dr). Senior Gabriel Okapko Uyeh JP, Vice President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria and LAWNA Territorial Chairman, will lead the Board of Governors under the Chairmanship of Dr. Femi Esan and the Seminary management under the leadership of Provost Pastor Gabriel Olugbenga Alakuko, Ph.D, during the ceremony.

The Apostolic Church Nigeria is a Pentecostal church in Nigeria with missionary fields in Africa, America, and Western Europe.
