News of the death of Rev. David Ayuba Azzaman, popular Kaduna based preacher and faith advocate has come as a shock to many in the Christian community.
He was said to have died in a car accident on Saturday May 24 while returning from a crusade in Makurdi. His vehicle was involved in a fatal crash near Idon, close to Kachia in the Southern part of Kaduna.
His media aide, Mike Odeh James in a statement said “despite being rushed to the nearest hospital, he sadly succumbed to his injuries.’
He informed that he spoke with Rev. Dr. Sam Magai Albert, the General Overseer of Rev. Azzaman’s church, who confirmed the heartbreaking news.
He wrote ” We mourn the loss of a devoted servant of God, a passionate preacher, and a man who dedicated his life to spreading the gospel and serving his community.’
Since his death was announced many have taken to social media to commiserate with the family and the church. Many paid tribute to him talking about the great evangelical work he carried out in the north of Nigeria and how he confronted forces that are against the church .
Rev Azzaman has a strong social media following and he was known for his apologetic posts on his social media pages.

Prophecy of accident
Ironically, Rev Azzaman posted this on January 29 2025 on his official Facebook page. He wrote
A PASTOR CALLED ME NOW AND HE SAID HE SAW AN ACCIDENT IN ONE OF MY MISSION TRIPS. ACCORDING TO THE PASTOR I SHOULD PRAY AGAINST DEATH BY ACCIDENT.
I WILL NEVER DIE BY ACCIDENT, PSALM 91:16 GOD SAID HE HAS SATISFY ME WITH LONG LIFE. SO IF YOU LIKE PLAN ACCIDENT, IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM I WILL NOT DIE NOW UNTIL I PREACH CHRIST ENOUGH AND BE SATISFIED WITH LONG LIFE IN JESUS CHRIST GLORIFIED NAME AMEN.
