REBIC Founder targets N1m lifeline for blind choristers, gives N1m to indigent students

Founder and General Overseer of Reconciliation Bible Church, Apostle Demola Joshua Dejo-Olagboye has announced that his church is raising N1 Million for some blind men, who came to sing and play for members of his church during 100 days programme that has just been concluded.

Though, he did not mention the church the blind male Choristers and instrument players were drawn from, he said that so far, N500,000 have been raised and soonest, the church will hit the one million naira target.

The REBIC founder spoke on Sunday April 20 during the celebration of his 60th birthday, following the end of the 100 days fasting and thanksgiving by members of his church in Their various branches in Ogun state.

Speaking further Dejo Olagboye explained that God has been faithful to him and his church over the years, and as part of a way of saying thank you to God also gave N100,000 to students from poor homes to support Their educational pursuit.

Our correspondent attended the birthday event at the national headquarters and camp ground of the church, where Pastor Olagboye named the students, whom he said were drawn from various communities in Ifo, Ewekoro, Sango OTA, and other places in Ogun state.

Some of the students, handed over the N100,000 cheque by the founder were Gbadamosi Azeezat, Bibat Badejpko, Elijah Akinjobi, Jonah Fiyinlola, Oba Ejiro, Gboluwatife Alabi,Joseph Ahmed and Rosemary Adejo.

The event, which featured praise and worship,testimonies, sermon, offering/tithes, thanksgiving, and cutting of the birthday cake, was attended by pastors from UK US, Canada, North America and Canada among other countries.

Pastor George Akinwumi, of the City of Grace, RCCG, Peterborough, as guest speaker outlined some steps that great people do take to become successful in life.

He said, The journey to greatness is not a sudden flight, but a step by step process that is achieved through diligence, hardworking, service, sacrifice, integrity and building the right character and mindset, with God as our anchor.’
