Pastor of the Christ Chapel International Churches in Ibadan, Oyo State, Elekima Ekine has urged believers to pursue purpose in life because according to him that is where their prosperity and power lie

He made the call at the Kmen mega Summit holding in Ikeja, Lagos from May 8- 10 and organised by Kingdom Men Global .Network

Ekine who gave a testimony of how God made him find purpose said ‘finding purpose in life is important because that is what will give direction to your life.’

He maintained that everybody s uniquely made by God while also adding that people are created the way they are because that is what will make them fulfil the purpose God created them for.

He warned against trying to become somebody else.’God created us with the intention that we will fulfil purpose. Your height, the way you talk, the way you walk and the complexion of your skin are all put there by God to enable you do what God wants you do to. You can’t afford to copy another person

According to him, every human being is a piece made by the Master. ‘We are called masterpiece because we are pieces of the master. It does not matter what you think is missing in you. You are enough. You’re sufficient for what God created you for..’

He observed that many people are not attaining purpose in life because they are busy trying to become what they were not created for.’

Also ministering at the event Pastor Jeremiah Swaray of the Kingdom Global Ministry in Sierra Leone said purpose gives direction and gives a sense of fulfilment.

Swaray who was a footballer before he embraced ministry recalled how he escaped death narrowly while about 11 of his team mates were shot dead during an attack from men of the underworld

He said he was shot n the chest but the bullet did not penetrate because God has a purpose for his life..

It was that experience that brought him to Church and made him quit soccer and totally surrendered his life to Christ.

His escape from death also made him launch a war against the devil and made him establish an outreach to young people in Sierra Leone.

Swaray who is called the naked peacher told the gathering how he came by the name. He said he was stripped naked along with his assailants in another encounter after he had become born again.

While being naked and bleeding from injuries inflicted on him by the hoodlums during a preaching engagement, he still preached the gospel to them.

He stressed that people who have a sense of purpose also have a strong sense of fulfilment . :purpose gives you power and courage to preach the gospel’ he said.
