A missionary evangelist and Founder of Gospel Unlimited Prof Duro Adwgbioye has expressed great thanks to God for sustaining him despite all the seeming set back in life
Prof Adegboye clocked 81 on April 24.
in a message shared with Church Times he thanked God for the day he was born and also the day he was born again while also adding that the day he was born again marked a significant milestone in his life
Adegboye who is based in Offa, Kwara State has put in over 60 years in ministry.. He is a passionate soul winner who believes every child of God was saved to save others.
He has been honoured severally by many Christian organisations and churches for the great impact God has used him to do among missionaries and in the Church at large
The most recent of the awards was by the Diocese of Kubwa of the Anglican Church.
The Bishop,of the Diocese Rt. Rev. Dr. Duke. T. Akamisoko in a letter said that Prof. Adegboye was honoured because of his ‘selfless and committed service to the Church, Diocese , the Nation , the body of Christ at large and our Ministry as Bishop’

The Award Presentation was part of the 20th Anniversary celebration of the Creation of Diocese and the 20th Anniversary Consecration of the Bishop.
About Prof Adegboye
Professor Durojaiye Adegboye: was born on 24 April 1944. He lost his father at the age of 11 and thus took to selling banana on the streets of Offa Kwara State so he could make up for his education.
Three years after loosing his father his mother also died thus becoming an orphan.
But God stepped. He secured scholarship to study up to his PhD. His post graduate studies were sponsored by some agencies of the the United States of America
He turned out to be the first Black Man to earn a PhD in Zoology at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, USA. The university was founded in 1788
Despite the attraction of staying abroad and remaining a lecturer at the University of North Carolina, he came back to Nigeria because he had promised God that he would come back to do missions. In the country.
He came back and took up lecturing job at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he worked for a long time until. He rose to the position of Dean of Faculty of Science and later voluntarily retired into Soul winning MINISTRY at age 44 in 1988.
His mission work cuts across all the 36 States of Nigeria and Abroad. God has used him to.raise many General Overseers of ministries across the nations.
Gospel City
At the Gospel City in Offa, Kwara State, Professor Adegboye holds regular missions conference to train missionaries across the country. He has been resources persons for almost all the missions agencies in Nigeria and has been facilitators at many conferences both in Nigeria and abroad.
Prof Adegboye has published many books, tracts and composed many songs to the glory of God. His love for music is unparallel.
While at the Ahmadu Bello University he served God diligently on the missions field along with his lecturing work going for missions almost every weekend..
At 81, Prof Adegblye believes that he is a work of God and that God has shown him mercy. The title of his three-Volume Autobiography is:: Durojaiye Adegboye:- by Grace and Grace alone’
