Paul Enenche laments killing of young man on Jos highway

by Church Times

Pastor Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of the Abuja-based Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has lamented the killing of a young man in Jos by a group of individuals on a busy road, as shown in a viral video on Wednesday April 1

In the footage, the young man was seen being assailed by about five people armed with cutlasses and sticks on a major road in Jos. Some reports claim the incident occurred on the road directly in front of the University of Jos.

Addressing his congregation, as monitored by Church Times online, Enenche questioned what could have led to such a brutal act. He also decried the nonchalant attitude of commuters and passersby who witnessed the attack.

He expressed deep concern that vehicles continued to drive past while the young man was being mauled to death by his assailants.

According to Enenche, the gruesome murder is an indication of the decadence in society and a clear sign that many have no regard for the sanctity of human life.

He stated: “We complain about the leaders, but what about the followers? That video I watched speaks volumes about the state of wickedness in our nation.

“We are so self-centered that we focus on ‘minding our business’ at the detriment of a human life. Someone was being killed on the road, and nobody was courageous enough to step out of their car to save him. That is the selfishness that is killing this nation.”
