Anglican Bishop donates N1m each to First Class graduates

Bishop Olumakaiye and the tow beneficiaries of the N1 million largess

The Bishop of Diocese of Lagos, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, the Rt. Revd. Dr. Humphrey Bamisebi Olumakaiye has donated N1 million each to two first-class graduates who are members of the diocese.

Olumakaiye made the donation today in his office as a demonstration of the diocese’s commitment to education and determination to encourage scholarship.

The pictures of the bishop donating the money to the two beneficiaries were posted on the Facebook wall of the diocese with a note.

The two outstanding young people from the diocese, who graduated with first-class are Miss Ebeledike Neenma Chukwu and Mr. Obianon  Ekenedirichukwu

Neenma according to the post was the 2020 overall best graduating student of Redeemers University while Mr. Ekenedirichukwu also bagged first class in Electrical Engineering.

The diocese in the post notes that the financial donation was done in recognition of the academic excellence of the beneficiaries.

The bishop according to the post also promised that the Diocese will give N1million to any first-class graduate in the Diocese of Lagos who wants to pursue a Master’s degree programme.
