Covid-19: Ayoola Foods begins food aid project, reaches out to the vulnerable

To minimize the impact of the lockdown on the most vulnerable in the society in view of the coronavirus pandemic, the management of Ayoola Foods Limited has embarked on a project tagged COVID-19 Food Aid project.

 

In a statement, the brand manager of the company, Mrs. Joy Bakare, said the project is focused at mitigating the impact of the restriction on the elderly, widows, handicapped and a host of other vulnerable people in the society.

 

The project entails the distribution of foodstuffs and some of Ayoola Foods products particularly the Ayoola Foods Special Pack which contains Poundo yam, Plantain Flour, Rice Flour, Bean Flour, Brown Beans and odourless Cassava Fufu to families in these categories.

 

The statement noted that the ongoing project has impacted several families across the country particularly in Lagos, Ibadan and Ifon in Ondo State.

The company expressed thanks to God that the project has brought smiles to families that have benefited from it.

 

Representatives of the company are seen reaching out to some families in the category mentioned while also using its brand ambassadors to do the distribution.

In a video posted online, Mrs. Idowu Philips, popularly known as mama rainbow, who is the brand ambassador for Ayoola Plantain flour is seen distributing the special packs to women in dire need of the food items.
