🗞️ THE CHURCH TIMES BIG PICTURE
🔥 A CHURCH THAT CANNOT WORK TOGETHER WILL STRUGGLE TO CHANGE A NATION.
Today’s headlines present three urgent challenges.
FIRST: PROTECT LIVES.
The Binnari tragedy reminds us that families need safety, justice and practical support.
SECOND: BUILD UNITY.
The controversy surrounding a threatening viral video demonstrates why responsible leadership and peaceful coexistence matter.
THIRD: BUILD LASTING INSTITUTIONS.
The Lausanne Congress, Catholic healthcare projects, CAC education investments and Christian community programmes all raise the same question:
What measurable difference is the Nigerian Church making?
A church’s influence should be visible not only in its congregations, but also in its contribution to the wellbeing of society.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
💬 LET’S TALK!
Beyond evangelism and global missions which is the primary focus of the Church, the Nigerian church should emphasise and focus on
1️⃣ Protecting vulnerable communities
2️⃣ Christian unity and peaceful coexistence
3️⃣ Education and scholarships
4️⃣ Healthcare and poverty alleviation
