The Vicar of St. Jude’s Anglican Church, Odi Olowo, The Ven. Obafemi Fasina, has commended members of the Lagos Chapter of the Christ Morning Star Society of Nigeria (CMSN) for shining the light the light of Christ and for their efforts in spreading the gospel
He gave the commendation while preaching at the society’s Annual General Meeting held at St. Jude’s Anglican Church, Odi Olowo, on Sunday, March 8.
Willing service
The Anglican priest noted that God appreciates those who serve Him willingly and without grudges.
He then encouraged the society to continue serving God sincerely and with love, emphasizing that God rewards those who serve Him faithfully.
He urged them not to relent in showcasing God’s light in all their endeavours.
Chapter president
The Vicar also commended the Chapter President, Star Ebenezer Sobowale, describing him as a veteran who serves God with all his abilities and leads by example.
Responding, Star Ebenezer Sobowale expressed appreciation to Ven. Fashina for his exemplary leadership in the various parishes he has served, describing him as a true child of God
The AGM
At the Annual General Meeting, members of the chapter—drawn from various parishes across the Dioceses of Lagos West, Lagos, Lagos Mainland, and Badagry—unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the leadership of Star Ebenezer Sobowale and his executive team for their stewardship of the society.
Over 100 delegates were present to witness the presentation of the society’s annual accounts, which were unanimously adopted.
