Adeboye highlights three things he just discovered can change people’s lives forever

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has identified three things he believes  can help a person live a purposeful life devoid of any form of anxiety and pressure.

Preaching at the church’s headquarters in Lagos on Sunday, September 6, Adeboye said he just discovered that these three things, when done with the whole heart, have the capacity to change a person’s life forever.

One of the things, according to him, is to rejoice always. Quoting 1 Thessalonians 5:16–17, he said, “When you wake up every morning, rejoice. Praise God. Start your day on a positive note of rejoicing. Forget about the past. Just rejoice. Wake up with joy and allow the joy of the Lord to dominate your life.”

”If I am not where I am by my ability, why should I worry about tomorrow? He took care of me yesterday; He will take care of me tomorrow,” he said.

Still using the scriptures, the second thing he urged believers to maintain a regular prayer life. “Pray always. Make your requests known to God. Rather than worry over your problems, pray about them.” He stressed that prayer is the only way to involve God in our situations.

The third thing that can help change one’s outlook on life and give us peace of mind according to Adeboye is to give thanks always. “In everything give thanks. Don’t allow your circumstances to affect your life. Give thanks irrespective of what you are going through in life.”

At the service, which was dedicated to judges and lawyers, Adeboye noted—while quoting Romans 8:31—”If for any reason you make a mistake, we have an advocate with the Father.”

Describing Jesus as an advocate like no other, he said, “He is the only advocate who goes to the judge and says, ‘My client is guilty as charged. But release him and take me instead. He gave himself.for us.'”
