Christian massacre

Christian massacre in Nigeria: The role of CAN and responses to prophecies

by Church Times

By Tunde I. DAODU

The security challenges ravaging Nigeria for some years now remain a great concern. What is even more worrisome is the incessant killings and massacre of innocent Christians and indeed Nigerians all over the country.

Yet, Nigeria is a praying nation and remains one. But many have wondered why Nigeria continues to be a slaughter lab in the midst of praying people. This has also been my worry.  In the process of seeking a solution to all these worries, woes, and cries, l came across a platform called from www.kingdomnewsng.com with a write-up titled, “MESSAGE TO NIGERIAN CHRISTIANS FROM THE LORD ON 11TH APRIL & 12TH APRIL 2021”

After reading the article, it brought a bit of respite to my worries. I got to know that several other Christians are as worried as I am. And many have not relented in praying for Nigeria.

The truth is that God still speaks to His children. The Lord said of Abraham in Genesis 18:19

“And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do”

Christian massacre and God’s love

The question is: Are there no genuine prophets in our land anymore like Abraham? Why are Christians being taken into captivity with their lands taken? many are being killed, maimed while many have been deprived of their livelihood.

Recent news report indicate that Boko Haram has extended their onslaught from the N/Eastern part of Nigeria to Niger state forcing children of God to become Muslims with the majority being killed at different IDPs where they are already dislodged from their homeland with no immediate hope of returning.

What happened to God’s steadfast love upon us? Has that love ceased? Yes! We are sinners but does the Lord’s mercy now come to an end on us with reference to forgiveness as we plead and pray continually?

As drums of wars are being rolled out by the Fulanis (we can no longer pretend or hide behind a finger).

In order not to be further consumed, we have to go beyond silence or fear and be bold enough to cry out in whichever opportunity we have as presented by God, even as we seek His face continually.

Without exaggerating or sending fears into us, the Fulani’s are now determined like never before (these facts are no longer secret; they are available on genuine networks and social platforms). Their plan is to conclude the Jihad war which they considered failed as embarked upon in 1805.

Many Prophecies which had been released several years ago/ decades have also started to manifest e.g. Book Haram joining forces within and without Nigeria inviting other terrorist groups and Fulani counterparts across Africa to take over peoples lands while our “great” security forces (Military etc) looking the other way.

Many have continued to go into captivity against their will; a typical example is the recent US action giving out visas on the basis of Biafra agitations as the Nigerian government vehemently protests – these things are in the news

Several prophecies were released even 20 years ago when God continued to warn His children as regards this impending time of danger, but we all ignored all those warnings and claimed: “it can never happen”.

Why? since we were extremely comfortable and short-sighted in those days. Consequently, we refused to yield to those prophecies nor cry for help; Unfortunately, we are witnessing those evil manifestations and warnings arising from those prophecies now.

Since God is our Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, He has sent yet another set of prophecies being released now on several platforms, etc. Unfortunately, none of them seems to be palatable. The shame here is that we still remain lackadaisical, Lazy, and have shown little interest in taking our future and that of our loved ones to God in prayers.

We need to wake up and change our approach as Christians to life issues and spiritual matters.

This same attitude is making us accept to run with the 1999 constitution put together by the Abdulsalam military administration and the Fulanis whereby we continued to be enslaved in our fatherland; two solid constitutional conferences couldn’t even address these slaveries.

It’s even an effrontery on us as Christians that Nigeria is being declared an Islamic state. The bitter pill to swallow is the fact that the Fulanis/ Cow Breeders (Myyetti Allah) Association continue to vehemently reject restructuring: just as these set of people rubbished Presidents Obasanjo and Jonathan’s regime and couldn’t do anything with the constitutional conference reports which are currently being starched away in archives.

Therefore, reading the article of Bosun Emmanuel, the CEO – CSMN (Christian Social Movement of Nigeria) on the earlier on mentioned platform, with follow up to many prophecies, provided dated back 20 years and subsequent references, l hereby concur to Romans 3:4 which says: “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged”

I remember in those days how CAN was very effective and the nation as a whole looked up to the association on the way forward and how to tackle serious issues nationwide using fasting, prayers, and faith as a weapon.

Thank God for those tenures. Perhaps our current situation would have been worse if not for CAN and the Church leaders forcing few out of their comfort zone to fast, pray, and even challenge the government. A good example is how Churches raised up their voices in unison when Abacha’s tyranny was overwhelming, this was also coordinated by the then resolute, fearless, and resilient CAN

With these past experiences and the leadership roles played by CAN in those years, l hereby ask a humble question: What is the role of CAN in our current dispensation whereby Christians are being killed incessantly, tyrannical laws are released to “handcuff” the church from performing, etc?

I remember in the recent past when pressure was mounted on CAN due to the Company and Allied Matters Acts (CAMA) and the subsequent demand for action; they reacted and also brought up the review of the 1999 constitution. Unfortunately, these issues have been consigned to history. They are not being pursued vigorously to logical conclusions; as we speak, the CAMA issue is cooling off in the court while the constitutional review is long forgotten.

Will l be right to say that the CAN executives are either afraid or enjoying the goodies their offices offer them e.g. honorariums, gratifications or affluence, etc. Where are the Idahosas of our time? The Elijah’s and the fire? O Lord, please send revival!

I plead that the roles of CAN be felt like the days of old (even up to the 90s), this will help Christians see themselves as having vibrant leaders with direction and a voice in this current dispensation of tribulations and massacres.

The Christian Social Movement of Nigeria among several others have once again written another prophecy (like in the past which already came to manifestations) to help forestall future killings, massacres etc, now and into the future with the action points to be executed carefully laid at the doorstep of CAN President and the executives.

I was impressed to read the conclusion of the article, whereby all were challenged to test the spirit behind the revelations and prophecies to confirm their source whether from God or Satan

THE BIG QUESTION:

Are we under siege because CAN (till date) has refused to address the action points in all the recent prophecies/ revelations? As the article (see the reference below) continued to point out that the CAN and the executives already “know” what to do on some vital issues to forestall these massacres.

If CSMN could work effectively well with other past regimes, why do we have non-conducive working environment/ satanic separations which could be deduced to causing bloodletting of Christians which God had made them guide and protect

Could it be right to arrogate “pride” to all these? E.g. Why must we? We have dissociated ourselves from them through writing even publicly. Do they have no stake in our businesses as the body of CAN? Must the enmity between CAN and CSMN make children of God continue to lose their lives?

EXPECTATIONS FROM CAN/ CHURCH LEADERS/ G.Os

I draw this from Esther 4:12 – 16 which says

“4:12 And they told to Mordecai Esther’s words.  4:13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, “think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this.

“Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so, will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.”

My special emphasis goes to verses 14 & 16. Verse 14 elaborated on Mordecai’s warning to Esther of the impending dangers if she refuses to act thinking she is secured at the palace. So also is the CAN/ Church Leaders/ G.O’s being warned of the blood which shall be requested of their hands, if they refuse to act urgently.  Verse 16 spoke about how Esther demanded actions to be executed to avert calamity. Consequently, also CAN executives (as Gatekeepers) should hurriedly coordinate the church leaders/ G.Os  and execute the action points arising from the sins declared as highlighted in summary below:

THE SINS AS DECLARED

– problems of leadership crisis within the

church

– CAN officials accused of misconduct

– congregations are sinners and rebellious grieving God’s spirit. The hearts of pastors and workers are wicked and evil, they ignore God and assume God’s functions, they put off the spirit of God

– members are not ready for the return of Christ, they continue to wallow in sin

– fathers of the nation (Church leaders and G.Os) allowing the death of innocent Christians, yet do nothing about it. Their blood shall be requested of their hands (this is very serious – we need to act fast to forestall unusual, sudden, and pathetic deaths among the G.O’s,  leaders, and church members

AS CLAIMED: the leaders already know the heart of God but didn’t execute according to God’s instruction hence their hands are stained with blood

ACTION POINTS: REPENTANCE

1) Jer 18: 7-10, let there be heart-rendering repentance across all churches of the nation. Genuine repentance at that

2) CAN is not left out: they should review their ways and make restitution according to God’s standard

Conclusion

I personally do not see these actions as out of order, these are what Christian bodies should do from time to time. No excuses. “All these deaths must stop either through swords or dying from sleep etc!”

These prophecies have track records that have been monitored for decades.

With the events currently unfolding on daily basis, we need to act fast. A stitch in time saves nine.

Note: All these issues are no longer secret, they are now happening under our nose. Trailers with full loads of ammunitions are being intercepted in the south almost on daily basis. Thousands of repentant Boko Harams are being loaded and sent to the Barracks for further training in the South! I say these not to make us fear but help us to sit up and be serious as we call onto God very urgently for help.

The Yoruba proverb says: “Ogun kii pa Aro to ba gbon” meaning, war doesn’t kill a lame man that is wise, who had heard the hues and cries of war beforehand. He will then start to navigate his journey out of the troubled zone where he currently finds himself.

We can’t and shouldn’t wait for the future calamity to engulf us! When we have God who we can run to, as we repent.  He will listen and fight our battles for us!

It will be great if CAN (The Gatekeeper who God currently gives authority on the Church gate.”) coordinates these as history will soon refer to their tenure(s).

TIME IS TOO SHORT – WE MUST FULFILL GOD’S PURPOSE!
