A woman, Olusola Olonode, who got married for the first time at the age of 48, has recounted how God blessed her with quadruplets three weeks before her 50th birthday.
Mrs. Olonode, formerly Olusola Adeniji, shared her testimony during a church program monitored online by Church Times. She told the crowd of worshippers how she had pleaded with God that, since she married late, she would not like to wait endlessly for children.
Recounting her story, she said, “In December 2023, I got married after a long wait. I remember I used to attend all the services in this church. Before then, I had always said it: since I waited so long for a husband, I don’t want to wait endlessly for children. So, I took in last year. When I went for the first scan, the doctor who attended to me said he could see twins. I got home and told my husband that even if it is one, at least I also would be among those who have children.”
But the story became more interesting when, according to her, she went for another scan and the doctor who attended to her said he saw three babies. She disputed this with the doctor, noting that the first doctor said he saw two babies.
The conflicting reports from the doctors made her repeat the scan process again. “I went back again; this time, it was the second doctor who did the scan.”
This time, the doctor corrected himself and said he thought he saw three earlier, but what he could see now were four babies.
When the doctor told her he saw four babies, she got home and told her husband she would not go for any more scans so they wouldn’t see five children in her womb.
But to the glory of God, she gave birth to the quadruplets on the 6th of March, 2026. They are two boys and two girls. The beauty of her testimony is that she had the babies three weeks before her 50th birthday, which was on the 31st of March, 2026.
While confirming that her family has a history of twins, she recalled how one of her aunties had said she wanted her to have triplets instead of the twins the family was noted for. To the amazement of all, she had four.
Mrs. Olonode was full of praise to God that she and the babies are doing great.
