Exhibit love in your dealings, Anglican priest tells Christian groups @ CMSN annual meeting

The Administrator of Owutu Archdeaconry of the Lagos West Diocese of the Anglican Communion, Ven Folorunso Oginni has called on Christian organisations to promote love among themselves in their pursuit of justice and peace in the society.

He made the call at the annual general meeting of Christ Morning Star Nigeria which took place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Owutu, Ikorodu on March 9

Ven Oginni who was represented at the occasion by Rev’d Sola Adesanya said the need to exhibit love is critical to the running of any organisation that is interested in promoting peace and justice in the society which Christ Morning Star Nigeria stands for.

‘ You’re dealing with human beings. The only way you can effectively impact the society is by showing love among yourself. If you show love among yourself, it will be easy to reflect that love in the larger society. ‘ he admonished

He described Christ Morning Star as a strategic society that has been of immense value to the Anglican Church and indeed to the Nigerian society..

At the event, the society reelected Ebenezer Sobowale as its president and Mr Tunji Oguntuase as its head of media among others.

The event had an unprecedented crowd of members drawn from all the Anglican dioceses in Lagos.

Shortly after the AGM, which featured presentation of reports and accounts, members were opportuned to ask questions which were satisfactorily answered by Mr Sobowake, the presiding President, after which the House was dissolved.

The Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mr Okeowo Oderinde then informed the gathering of other members that were elected to run the organisation for another three years.

They include Odofin Adeola; Vice President , (Mrs) Esther Omobolanle Hammed: General Secretary, Samuel Kehinde Sanwoolu – Assist General Secretary and (Mrs) Lucy Omojeme Ajayi, Treasurer

Other people elected include Inamiyang Ann, Financial Secretary, Abisola Olufunmilola Arowolo, Social Secretary and Olumide Sodamola, Welfare Officer 1

The post of the 2nd vice chairman and 2nd Welfare Officer were later filled by Mrs A. Ogedengbe 2nd Vice chairman and Mrs Omolara Akhigbe – Welfare 2

Elected auditors for the organisation include Sunday Olukolu and Ahmed A. Yakubu. Ex-officio members are Adetokunbo Oso and Gbenga Ogunwole
