1 billion man-hours of prayer to make prophecies about Nigeria a reality – Oni

by Church Times

The Convener of God’s Agenda for Nigeria, Engr Bunmi Oni has said the 1 billion man-hours of prayer billed to start at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State on April 21 was inspired by the Holy Spirit to expedite the fulfilment of many of the prophecies concerning Nigeria.

Specifically he mentioned the prophecies of Apostle Ayodele Babalola, Pa Sydney Elton and Pastor Bill Hamon.

Oni in a broadcast message noted that the prophecy of Apostle Babalola which is about 60 years old is to the effect that Nigeria has a glorious future but that Christians need to pay the price in the place of prayer for that expected future to be a reality .

Concerning Pa Elton’s prophecy on Nigeria, he said, ‘The Lord told Pa Elton that Nigeria would be known for corruption but that a transformation will take place that will make the world to begin to gravitate towards Nigeria.’

Again, he recalled that a pastor by name Bill Hamon who came to Church of God Mission in 2011 gave a prophecy about Nigeria that the expected transformation of Nigeria will happen within a space of four years if Christians can intercede.

Engr. Oni noted that all the prophecies have not been fulfilled because the church has not been able to generate the spiritual energy that will make the transformation happen.’

While disclosing that the intercessory prayer event is to create awareness among all churches and Christians to begin to gather in groups and make serious intercession for Nigeria, he said, he said, ‘such strategic prayer event cannot be overstated going by the level of degradation and rot in both the church and the country.’

He pleaded with believers across the country to bury denominational differences and come together in holy intercession for the birth of a new Nigeria.

The April 21 event will start at about 9 am. Subsequently, the group will create.a prayer network across Nigeria and meet every last Saturday of the month for intercessory prayer for the country..

Oni expressed confidence that Nigeria will be a great country as soon as believers are able to take the responsibility for the spiritual destiny of the country.
