Temilolu Fosudo, the son of seasoned Dramatist, Sola Fosudo has described the experience of directing a new drama series titled, The Struggle Is Real” ( TSIR) as “extremely enjoyable”
He made the observation in a statement announcing the new project billed to premiere on Film Patio YouTube Channel in early 2025.
The project is Temilolu Fosudo’s directorial debut. It was co-directed with Debola Santa Ogunshina
In the statement, the young Fosudo was quoted as saying the experience of directing the drama series was an “intense and extremely enjoyable adventure. We wanted to create a realistic story of young people for everyone to enjoy. “
He said working with friends he met on the set of ITURA, an African Magic series that began in 2022, made it easy as everyone understood their roles perfectly.
The statement notes that The Struggle Is Real, just as its title depicts, follows the daily struggles of young Nigerians living in an apartment building as they navigate life, love, loss, and friendship.
“The Struggle Is Real explores the complex realities of young people in a dire economy. It follows the lives of the
lead cast; Pam, a young woman in need of a turnaround has to figure out her life with a new housemate and Remi, a young man starting life afresh in a new city has to learn the rudiments of living with a diverse set of people.
Set in Lagos, Nigeria, TSIR features the interesting and varied cast of Folaremi Agunbiade, Wumi Tuase-Fosudo, Akorede “Korexx” Ajayi, Yemisi Fancy, Wendy Lawal Simpson & Tobee Awosika, amongst others. TSIR promises a fun and refreshing take on the struggles of young people.

The actors met on the set of the Africa Magic series ITURA and came together with first-time producer, Paul Aderanti to produce TSIR. They hope to produce more projects together for the YouTube channel Film Patio.
