How Soul Winning Can Impact the World

Soul winning is at the heart of Christian service. It drives the growth of salvation and is, in fact, the oxygen of our faith. Without soul winning, the world would be completely lost, and the purpose of Jesus Christ’s first advent to save humanity would be rendered meaningless.

This is why, as He departed this world, Jesus gave a clear instruction to evangelize, as recorded in Mark 16 verses 14 to 20.

This scripture is not merely a command to the original disciples, as some teach. It is what may be described as a statute of general application. It applies to all believers.

The central idea of this piece is to envision a world in which the entire population is fully evangelized and becomes true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A world that is predominantly Christian would be largely free from the menace of Islamic insurgency, kidnapping for ransom, political agitation, heinous crimes, prostitution, murder, and other vices that plague humanity today. This is not utopia. It is a real possibility.

It can reasonably be assumed that if the majority of the world’s 7.5 billion people were true and dedicated Christians, peace would reign on the earth to a significant extent. Protracted wars, political crises, racism, ethnic conflicts, global tensions, and other divisive disputes would be greatly reduced.

The imperatives of soul winning, therefore, cannot be overemphasized. This is the main thrust of this write-up, and it must not be lost on believers. Evangelism should be the primary focus of our preaching, our actions, and our Christian service. It is the sacred goal of our divine mandate.

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah!
