We will shine the light of Christ
In his inaugural sermon, Bishop Familoni called on Christians to remain prayerful and courageous despite the security challenges affecting parts of the country. He also urged government at all levels to intensify efforts toward protecting citizens and restoring peace.
He said his vision for the new Diocese is to shine the light of Christ by touching lives and also give support to the less privileged and the needy.
“We are being driven by the zeal and purposefulness of God, just like the biblical Abraham, who was told by God to leave his comfort zone and then became the father of nations.” He said.
