Disquiet in Redemption Camp over loss of Pastor Dare Adeboye

by Church Times

The death of Pastor Dare,  the third child of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has sent shock waves across  the Redemption Camp

Dare according to sources died in the early hours of Wednesday, May 5

Though the church is yet to make any official statement concerning his death, sources close to Church Times informed that he had been nursing an unknown sickness for a while now.

The sickness made him seek medical help abroad over the years. The source said he was vomiting and stooling at the same time before he eventually passed on.

Our correspondent gathered that close family members have been coming to the Redemption Camp home of Pastor Adeboye to commiserate with him over the loss of his son.

His wife according to sources was too much in shock that she had to bow her head in deep reflection as visitors throng in to sympathise with them. Pastor Adeboye was however said to be calm.

Those operating at the market at the redemption camp did not open their shops in honour of the departed.

A youth leader in the church told Church Times that Pastor Dare was exceptionally good and caring. “He had no issues with anybody. He was focused and did not attract undue attention to himself. His loss is devastating.”

Pastor Dare was the Pastor in charge of Youth Province 5 with headquarters in Eket, Akwa Ibom State. He was also an Assistant Regional Pastor.

The late Pastor Dare was described as a miracle child because he was born without any complication or Caesarean section. This was contrary to doctors position that his mother could not have a child without CS
