Biographical movie on Pastor Adeboye debuts as he clocks 81

by Church Times

Solid Rock Foundation in conjunction with Mount Zion Film Ministry has released a biographical movie on Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

The film was released on March 2 to coincide with the 81st birthday anniversary of Pastor Adeboye.

Titled,  Enoch, A biopic of Pastor E A Adeboye, the film tries to give a graphic representation of the natural scenes that surround the life of Pastor Adeboye.

The film captures his growing up years in the Ilesha, Osun State, the grinding poverty that characterized his life, his education, and how he joined the RCCG. It also tries to capture the early days of the RCCG and how he became the General Overseer of the church

The characterisation and setting of the film provide the viewer with a nostalgic sense of how life played out in Ilesha. Adeboye’s academic exploits were well captured in the movie. His marital life and his search for peace and how he eventually had an encounter with God in the RCCG were presented with some professionalism.

Yoruba and English languages were deployed to pass across the lines of the characters in the film. This is deliberate to situate the film in context and provide the viewer with a sense of originality.

Just about 12 hours after its release, the movie had attracted over 197,000 views with over 2000 comments on Damilola Mike-Bamiloye YouTube Channel.

“Thank you Daddy for giving to the Lord. Thank you Mount Zion Movies for your continuous effort in reaching the world with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray for more grace and anointing to continue in this great assignment that God has placed in your hands. This movie is great. I can’t imagine the work and resources put together to make this movie. God bless the cast and crew. Above all, we thank God for the Holy Ghost, for the teachings, and for the inspiration from this movie.”

He said, “God indeed is a promise keeper, seeing everything the Lord promised to use Daddy G.O. to do coming to play further reveals how MIGHTY our God is. Seeing how the mantle was passed to him is another feeling entirely. Enoch indeed is a good watch….. Thumbs up to MZF team.”
