Deaconess Wuraola Oginni, first daughter of the revered founding father of the Christ Apostolic Church, Apostle Ayo Babalola has addressed claims by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo that his father was a poor man and his veiled attempt at rubbishing his children.
In a broadcast shared online, she gave a bit of historical account of how her father lived his life while also emphasizing that she and her younger sister that are still alive are very comfortable and following in the steps of their father.
She said Apostle Babalola during his life time preached the gospel of Christ without compromise stating that Babalola devastated the Kingdom darkness. ‘A lot of shrines were destroyed.
“A lot of ocultic materials were brought to his crusade and were destroyed. He preached Christ and Christ only. His emphasis was repentance from sin, serving and worshipping the living God.”
Deaconess Oginni who picked her words carefully while delivering her speech said she and her younger sister are working in God’s vineyard. “I am a deaconess and Sunday school teacher and a prayer warrior.
“My sister Dame Deborah Apeke Adeniyi is a prayer warrior and evangelist in her church. She was honoured with the knighthood of John Wesley by the Methodist Church .”
She stated further than they are highly blessed and are living a very comfortable life, adding, “This is because our father already sowed the seed of kindness, generosity and love on humanity.”
She recalled the great philanthropic work carried out by her father. “our house used to be filled with people of different languages, different tribes , children and adults. Out of the abundance of my father he was able to help every one of them to have a good life and make a responsible living by giving some education to as far as they would wish, putting some in apprenticeship and giving some people whatever they needed for their different trades. This was the blessing of God upon his life”
She insisted that her father lived a very comfortable life. “If any one doubt my father’s impact on society, I encourage such a person to visit his tomb site at Efon Alaye, Ekiti, Nigeria, a place where people go for pilgrimage from different parts of the world. The place is open to everybody 24/7. People go there to pray and God answers their prayers.”
She then urged that when people mention her father’s name during their preaching, “they should speak the truth, they should be sincere and speak nothing but the truth, with love and great respect.”
She pleaded with ministers of God to honour the Lord on their pulpits and verify every information inorder to avoid lies and speculations.”
