The America nation is in a chaotic time. The church has greatly swayed from the biblical principles, values and holiness. Hence, we can come to a resolve that the only biblical proffered solution to the spiritual decline in the nation of America is repentance that can no doubt release the revival she onced experienced.
It was Habakkuk who cried ” O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy”( Habakkuk 3:2).
It’s no doubt that the work in America is now dead and needs a new breath of life to surge into her to experience a time of refreshing.”
But biblically speaking the breath of revival can not come until there is a sorrow of the heart, until there is a contrite repentance like the repentance of Prophet Daniel in book of Daniel chapter 9. Oh nation of America, the baton is in your hands, it’s either a release of Judgement because of the progress of wicked ways or the release of sweeping revival upon the land.
Now is the set time to experience a double revival and awakening experience than the one you onced experienced. Now is the time to begin to manifest the fullness of Christ and begin to walk in the power of God and righteousness. Now is the time to turn down the desire for food and fast and spare not in prayer and repentance for God’s mercy and his revival.
Let the nation of America be certain that her deliverance, reformation and transformation can not come until an action of revival is activated.
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall comet from the presence of the Lord. And shall send Jesus Christ, which before was peached unto you”.Acts 3:19-20. Let her begin with this:
America confessional prayer guide and also for Intercessors and believers who love to pray for revival in the Church and lost souls of America.
Our Heavenly Father to whom that it is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in”(Isaiah 40:22).
” And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the, that I should not destroy it: but I found none”(Ezekiel 22:30).
“For thou, Lord, art good and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee”.(Psalms 86:5).
We have sinned
In accordance with your word, we the Church in the United States of America, and the whole inhabitants of our country come to you in humility and in contrite sackclothing of our heart unto you. We come to you in acknowledgement of our sins. It’s now known to us that we committed iniquity against you O mighty God.
The terror of our sins strikes us badly that we are compelled to repent, and to seek your face for forgiveness. We come before you now to acknowledge and confess our sins.
Like the Patriarch Apostle John said through the Holy Spirit that if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.(1 John 1:8).
We humbly raise our voices in repentance of the sins we have committed on behalf of the United States of America. We acknowledge and confess the sins of our fore-father’s and especially of our era. We acknowledge and confess the sins that we have committed in your sight, sins like idolatry, the sin of legalism, gay, bi-sexuality, transgenderism, inter-sexuality.
We ask that you forgive us of the sin of witchcraft, occultism, paganism, magic and sodomy, we ask that you purge us from this abominations that we have committed in your our sight. We acknowledge that America was a nation founded on a good and solid Christian foundation, we were founded on godly precepts and commands, infact Christian leaders ruled us, who continued the faith of the founding fathers delivered unto Americans.
But here we are acknowledging that we have currently strayed away from the precepts of the Bible, which was our guide from the beginning. We acknowledge ourrebellious action towards the Word of God you gave us. Wwe acknowledge that as sheep without a shepherd we have strayed from the path of Godliness and righteousness, our spiritual gates have been opened for the enemy, Satan to gain access and so we are declining every passing hour.
We acknowledge our sins thou merciful God, for you said in your word that if we acknowledge our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Here we are pricked in our hearts of all the abominations we have committed against your Holiness and so like the Prodigal son we are coming back home with a humble heart of repentance, confessing the various sins of divorce, rationalism, humanism, hedonism, materialism, greed, and selfishness.
Sodomy and the likes
We confess the sins of sodomy, immorality, worldliness, waywardness, false doctrines and messages, legitimization of unholy teenage relationship and abortion. We confess bestiality, legitimization of phonographic films in school and universities.
Like the Isrealites we have filled your covenant land with atrocities of all sorts. We have allowed the growth of sin to yield fruits in our lives. Our nation has been very much corrupted than normal, darkness is pervading the nation of America because of our sins and your judgement is looms against us.
We humbly ask that you forgive us and make us white as snow again for we have become a sin-stained nation in your sight, we have lost our consecration and we are in need of the restoration of your divine mercy and love.
We beseech you o merciful God for forgiveness like Ezra would say, our iniquities have increased over our heads, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens. Our land is currently swirling in the ocean of abominations, and lawlessness, and like Daniel would say “but unto us confusion of faces as at this day”.
But to Lord also belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against thee. America, has rebelled against you, our Government has rebelled against you. Her citizens have rebelled against you, even your Church has rebelled against you.
We have transgressed and forsaken the path and foundation our fathers laid for us, we have turned from the Living God unto the gods of our hearts, our desires and ambitions. Satanism and occultism now rule our nation because of our sins. Our government has authorized satanic Churches to be opened publicly in the land where God onced dwelled.
We have authorized prostitution, abortion and other evil vices that are unprintable. We say again that we have sinned and so we seek forgiveness for our sins, our lusts and our actions. We acknowledge that prayer was onced our lifeline but we have now forsaken it in exchange for idols.
Our foundation
Our foundation was on prayer and we so trusted God that we inscribed our motto as ” In God We Trust”. But presently we have totally strayed away from your commands so much that we decided in the Senate that schools no longer need prayer and the word of God.
We abandoned the Bible, throwing it out of schools and have institutionalized many atrocities into our school system, we have given assent to gay and lesbianism instead, we have given approval to demonic and satanic books for students in our Library leaving our students to the prey of atheistic teachers.
Lord we acknowledge and confess these many sins so that we can escape your divine Judgment and gain access to the springs of your mercy and forgiveness. The Church in America is now sleeping, we are currently slumbering, we have derailed from your precepts into our comfort zones.
Our church leaders are the ones giving assent to same-sex marriages, gay marriages e.t.c Lord have mercy on Us and grant us your forgiveness and favour in our nation. We are unworthy of your forgiveness but for your great mercy we plead in humility and sincere apologies unto you.
We ask that you purge our nation with your blood, we ask that you remove all the spiritual idols that has been erected in our nation because of our sins, we ask that you thoroughly cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. We ask that you cast out the unclean spirits that is now ruling our nation, compelling her into the practice of more abominations.
We plead for a revival of our land, we plead for sanctification of our filthy nation, we plead for a renewal of our consecration in our nation. We clamour out for pardon, and justification by the Cross of Calvary.
We plead, Lord for our nation is now a secular nation, abortion takes legal ground, spiritual biblical illegal laws are now legal in our nation. Christian leaders have strayed from your word and we have gone out of the path of your precepts. A Christian nation who onced supported Christianity is now on the number one list of Christian persecutors, what an appalling deviation from your word.
We plead for a cleanesing like that recorded in Zechariah 13: 1 and 2. We can’t hide it from your sight for you have seen it clear by your watchful eyes. We plead for a divine Impunity given by only you, for we have all sinned and have come short of the glory of the Father.
Our land has been corrupted
The land where your glory onced dwelled has been corrupted by our evil vices, we have fallen from grace to grass, our future looks bleak because of the magnitude of our sins and like Nehemiah we plead in humility by saying” Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open that thou mayest hear hear the prayer of thy servant”. You also said in your word in 2 Chronicles 7: 13-14, “If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”.
We humble ourselves before your sight crying for Mercy because spiritual locusts and pestilence has found their way into our residence. Spiritual stagnation and famine is predominant in the United States of America. They are eating up the works of God, they are eating up the fruits of righteousness, the fruits of Salvation, the fruits of Intercession.
Oh they are like bees swarming and multiplying in thousands, making sure they sting and eat up well grown fruits of good works, gospel works. They are eating up well grown fruits planted by our founding fathers of faith, well grown fruits watered by the great revivalists who turned America upside down for Christ.
They have desecrated well grown fruits of mighty warriors of faith who planted with perspiration, tears and pain just for the progress and growth of God’s work in America. We are here in accordance with the guideline of your words, our hearts have been tendered by humble sorrow of the heart.
Forgive us, Oh Lord
Our knees have been positioned on the hard rock of persistence, and our mouths are heavy with the words of acknowledgment and sincerity, and we plead in prayer seeking your face for the forgiveness of our many atrocities, clamouring out loud “Oh Lord Forgive us”
Forgive us Oh Lord and heal your Church, heal our land, heal our nation, heal our government. Heal our people, heal our neighborhood, heal our lives before we get consumed by the cankerworm, palmerworm and locusts you have allowed to make a desolation of our nation because of our hideous inquities and abominations.
Lord will thou not revive us again that thy people may rejoice in thee? Don’t let us get consumed and become like the heathen nation around us who have no hope but an expectation of divine fiery vengeance and recompense.
We plead again for the forgiveness of our sins, sins like unrestricted violence, crime, suicide, unwanted pregnancies by teenagers, prosperity gospel, secular music, lust, immorality, lasciviousness, rebelliousness, pride, gambling, stigmatization, rape, bullying e.t.c.
Restore our first love Oh Lord
We have been consumed by the pleasures of our wickedness, and our land has been polluted by this vices.
Have mercy on us and revive our land, restore unto us our first love for you, reveal your glory once more upon us, reveal your power once more upon us, we rise unto a change of heart and we seek pardon to be free from our condemning conscience. Purge us Lord like Zechariah who was garbed in flirty garments of sin.
Restore us like you restored Isreal back to the promised land after been captives to the Babylonians for several years. Renew your covenant with us as you renewed in Isreal through the reformative revival spearheaded by Josiah. Revive us again like the dried bones in the valley.
The time of our captivity is over like it was in Daniel times, the restoration and revival move is now but we can not be launched into the experience of it unless there is a new clean slate in our nation and the Church, unless there is a firsthand experience of your cleansing flood of forgiveness, unless we are right back with you and in you, unless we are on the pinnacle of commissioning.
We can’t get access to a new power for kingdom exploits unless there is a cleansing for our stains and transgressions. We can’t get access to your favour you once showed in the government of America unless you forgive us and restore us. Have mercy on us o Lord and grant to us your forgiveness.
Sins of the Church
Finally, we specifically confess the sins of the Church in America. We sincerely plead for mercy for we have failed Christ and his vicarious death. We have entertained the world and it’s pleasures, we have glorified Satan through the acceptance of his deadly vices, vices like the preaching of false prosperity gospel, through this evil gospel mantra we have contradicted the true gospel of Christ.
We have turned the Gospel to a plate of goodies that we can feed on anytime we want. We have almost turned the Gospel to a contraction and Business engagements because of our desires and pleasures. Lord have mercy on us for we have allowed this cankerworm to proliferate around the world, around the nations who are looking up to us.
We have corrupted the true believers in the nations of the world, and we have allowed it to eat us up and eat our commission, our mission and our objectives, our message, even our life.
Lord with thou forgive us so that your people might receive life once again, our transgressions has multiplied to the highest degree and we have strayed so many from the gospel of the Cross that leads to heaven, hence, we the Church in America, especially it’s leaders are guilty of the blood of the innocent’s souls who can’t know the true path unless we lead them through it.
We are guilty of the lost souls that has gone to hell because of the Gospel we have invented by our desires and goals, we are guilty of those still slipping down the furnace of hell because of the gospel of materialism and profanity, gospel of wealth and health that we call Faith movement.
We have become material possession networkers who have produced so many people all around the world especially in Nigeria who are spreading the same profane and evil gospel we are preaching up till this moment.
Our fathers
The gospel of Christ our fathers laid down and preached have been profaned. The revivalists of the past who sowed the gospel of Christ on the land we are treading upon have been messed up. Yes we have neglected and corrupted the effort of this men by our inordinate desires and goals.
We have sinned and we seek forgiveness for it, we pray that you thoroughly purge the Church in America lest we become a destitute Church, lest we go like the way of the heathen and experience the judgement of God.
The Church in America is now in division concerning gay marriage, and various growing obscenities happening in the Church. Imagine division among a militant army of saints, what more can we say than to seek and plead for forgiveness and deep cleansing.
We can’t can’t pretend about our apparent sins. And so we seek forgiveness and pardon for our many sins.
We have proliferated secularism from our side to the other nations around us, We have sinned, the Church leaders who have derailed from Christ’ words to our comfort zone are among the top sinners, the people are not in exception, all of us have sinned against God and against the vicarious and horrific Cross of Christ.
Infact, the land of America is in this terrible position and spiritual decadence because we the Church have failed to seek God’s precepts, doctrine and commandments, because we the Church has allowed the incessant projections of sins by hell to hit us unawares.
We have failed the Cross, failed God and grieved the Holy Spirit of God. And so we plead for mercy on her behalf and the whole inhabitants of the United States of America. We cry out to God for mercy and forgiveness. We cry out to God for revival, for we are now dried and parched.
Our spiritual life and vitality
We have lost spiritual life and vitality, we are strewn up bone lying down lifeless in the valley, we are like lost sheep wandering up in the open field, vulnerable to beasts of sin and hell, we are like the flowers in a desolate wilderness with no hope of sunshine and rain, all lifeless and hopeless.
But here we are pleading for a move of the Holy Spirit once more like the Apostles in the upper room, here we are pleading for mercy like the obstinate children of Israel, here we are seeking for a second chance. Here we are seeking for a greater move of God than past Awakenings in our nation.
Here we are Lord seeking for forgiveness in the Church and in the nation, here we are seeking for revival and restoration once more in the Church and in the nation.
Thank you Father for listening to our sincere apologies for our many atrocities, thank you for yielding to the tone of your mercy, thank you for your revival power and life being poured upon us, the Church and the whole nation of America, thank your for deciding to resurrect us from sin’s control and spiritual deadness, thank you for releasing your life into us, thank you prospering us with the riches of your forgiveness recorded in Hebrew 4:12,
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”.
Thank you for the favour of the throne of grace for us. Thank you Father for listening and moving, for cleansing and restoring, for reviving and realigning, thank you Father for accepting our sincere apologies through prayer. Thank you Father in Jesus name we have prayed…
