The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has warned that any member of the Church that does not attend the 2023 convention of the church will regret not coming.
He gave the warning while preaching at the headquarters of the church on Sunday August 6.
The yearly convention of the church starts on Monday August 7 and will span the whole of the week.
Adeboye said he needed not appeal to members to come for the yearly event adding that what he knows is that ‘anybody who does not come will regret not coming.’
It is not clear if Pastor Adeboye wanted all in diaspora or who live far away from Lagos to be at the camp.
It is not also clear if those who are incapacitated in one way or the other have to find their way to the camp willy nilly.
But he said there are some miracles that could not be transmitted via the media pointing out that, ‘if God says there is someone here, he is talking about the convention ground. ‘
Citing the example of how pounded yam cannot be transmitted via the internet, he said, ‘if you don’t believe in my calling don’t come. There are some miracles that can’t be transmitted online’
Adeboye who preached on the topic ‘looking unto Jesus,’ gave several examples of how God healed people on the camp.
He cited the example of son of a prominent man who had cancer and had been to many hospitals without help.
According to him, the man came to the camp with his condition. He said it took the cancer patient almost one hour to finish a bottle of coke but that after prayers God restored him to health.
‘Doctors said he was not the one that has been diagnosed with cancer.’ Adeboye said..
Also talking about the ministerial nominee that got to know she had been rejected at the senate chambers.
He said, ‘my God does not start a work he cannot complete.
He charged his listeners to place their hope on God adding that nobody looks up to Jesus and gets disappointed.
Adeboye them challenged his listeners who are yet to embrace Jesus to do so adding that without a relationship with Christ they can’t experience God’s miraculous interventions in their lives.
