Covid-19 fear is unwarranted-Bishop Oyedepo
Founder of Living Faith Church also known as Winners chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has expressed great concern over people that are worried over coronavirus.
In his sermon currently being circulated online, Oyedepo stated that covid-19 fear is unwarranted insisting that the virus is not as deadly as Ebola.
He lamented that poor nations can’t go out on account of covid-19 fear being spread around and are being sentenced to poverty.
“Every day what we hear is those who are dying, what of those who are living? Have they published those who have been discharged? They come to say data shows that a thousand will die today. Why the fear mongering?” he questioned.
Making reference to the scriptures he stated that believers are the light of the world. He then cursed the virus saying, “I curse everyone trading with you to feast on the flesh of humanity. I decree the liberty of mankind.”
Covid-19 fear: Don’t leave Goliath on the scene
He enjoined his listeners not to leave Goliath on the scene. “If you leave Goliath on the scene you will live in fear forever. David came and cursed Goliath. There are individuals feasting on this global endemic and it has become the ruler of their world. Is this the first time virus that will visit the world”
He said further, “We have seen people come out of the mortuary in this church. Every sickness tormenting you now is destroyed. Covid-19 fear is destroyed. What you hear is what determines what you believe, what you believe is what you become. Schedule your time, sit at the feet of the Word and get your deliverance.”
It will be noted that Bishop Oyedepo has been critical of the continued lockdown. He was quoted to have said “There is something wrong. For people to be allowed to be in the market for six hours and can’t be in church for two hours, it is an upside-down way of looking at things.
“Which one is more orderly? The market or the church?
“I can smell a rat. The voice of darkness is influencing people at various levels, targeting the church because the growth and expansion of the church is the greatest headache of the devil. But the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The devil and all his agents shall surely pay for this.
“I don’t know what hospital that records the kind of healing that the church of God records. And now hospitals, where people die every day, are open, but the church is closed because the oppression of the devil has no medical cure.”
