Pauline Walley-Daniels, Ph.D. is an ordained Prophetic-Deliverance Apostle who teaches the Word of God with dramatic demonstrations. She is the President of Pauline Walley Evangelistic Ministries and Christian Communications, CEO of Overcomers House Institutes, and the Prophetic Deliverance Theological Training Institute—which includes the School of Intensive Training for Leadership Equipment and the School of Deliverance in New York.
She is affiliated with the Vision International University/Vision International Ministries Network, the Christian International Ministries Network, the Association of Christian Educators Accountability, and serves as the Secretary-General of the Faithful Ministers Fellowship of New York.
She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and a Ph.D. in Pulpit Communications and Expository Preaching. She is a recipient of the United States President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, an author of numerous gospel music albums, and the writer of several books covering disciplines such as Mentoring and Leadership, Spiritual Warfare, Strategic Prayer, Deliverance Solutions, Tactical Evangelism, and Prophetic Empowerment.
The Beginning
I was born into a Christian family and surrendered my life to the Lord Jesus at the age of 13, so I have always been a Christian. My late parents were Bishop Enoch and Felicia Walley. Our home was deeply dedicated to the Christian faith, as my parents were committed to the tenets of the Holy Bible.
From the time of our great-grandparents to date, our daily life started with prayers of praise, worship, and adoration unto Jehovah God as early as 4:00 AM. Irrespective of the times and seasons, we were woken up with the sound of music. My parents loved hymns and sang them as the seasons required. They could recite many hymn stanzas by heart alongside Bible passages like Psalms 23, 24, 91, 92, 119, and 121.
Scriptures were read from the Bible and memorized for practical use in our daily endeavors. I grew up understanding that nothing must be done outside the biblical and spoken Word of God. The Word of God is our spectacles, walking stick, rod of correction, and guidance in daily life. As Scripture declares:
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
Ministerial Destiny Encounters
I started having encounters with the Lord Jesus Christ about my ministerial destiny during my pre-adolescent years in elementary school. At the time, my parents were Anglicans who had briefly veered into the Jehovah’s Witness movement.
The First Encounter: How Jesus Picked Me Up as a Little Girl
At eight years old, while sitting in Class Three at Accra New Town Elementary School (ANT 6 & 8) in Ghana, I had an open vision. In that vision, Christ Jesus came to our school. All the children were excited, running toward Him and shouting His name: “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!”
Some jumped into His arms, some held onto His garments, some sat on His shoulders, and others sat at His feet. Everyone found a space near Him. Despite the multitudes of children from everywhere, everyone had a place in Christ. As soon as He saw me, He beckoned me to come. He opened His arms, and suddenly, I found myself wrapped in His embrace.
The Second Encounter: A Ladder from Heaven
In my second open vision, while in the same classroom, I fell into a trance where I saw a ladder stretching from earth into the sky. The top of the ladder was covered with a beautiful cloud of glory. The Lord stretched out His hands and beckoned me to come, so I climbed up.
When I got home that evening, I shared the vision with my private tutor, Mr. Stephen Mensah. He instructed me to draw an illustration of the vision on the blackboard. Upon seeing it, he asked me to fetch my Illustrated Children’s Bible. He pointed to the story of Jacob’s ladder (Genesis 28:10–17) and explained that God was calling me to be like Jacob.
From that moment on, the desire to serve the Lord with my whole life—mind, body, soul, and spirit—filled my thoughts. The burden to rescue the perishing and care for the dying became crucial to my journey.
Journalistic Evangelism: The Union of Two Callings
When, how, and why did you establish your ministries? Why did you transition from journalism into evangelism?
(Loughs) I haven’t quit journalism! I have rather advanced my journalism profession into evangelism. I am occupied with Journalistic Evangelism and Evangelistic Journalism. Both professions roll over each other in my daily endeavors.
As a Journalistic Evangelist, I investigate matters that require spiritual surgery, deliverance, and warfare, devising solutions from a biblical perspective under divine authorization. Based on my findings, I inquire about the path to solutions through prayer and fasting. I engage the Lord in conversation, where He shows me the root cause of a problem and how to resolve it. I then document these problems and solutions in manuscripts for publication so people worldwide can access the answers they need.
Journalism provides me with the exact investigative skills needed to function as an effective evangelist. The intellectual sphere of journalism demands a perspective that sees beyond the ordinary. It allows me to dissect a problem, analyze its root cause, and secure a solution aligned with God’s Word.
So, I am still a journalist—a Journalistic Evangelist with a Prophetic-Deliverance impetus.
Street Preaching, Dawn Broadcasts, and Early Ministry
By the age of 13, the burden for evangelism rested heavily upon me. I would see visions of myself wearing a white dress, standing before a crowd, and sharing the gospel. I began going out onto the streets to distribute tracts and speak to people about Jesus. During school vacations, I woke up early in the morning and went out in the evenings to preach at bus stations while commuters traveled to and from work.
In those days, very few people owned televisions, and social media did not exist. People gathered in their communities to socialize. In addition to door-to-door evangelism, these community gatherings served as an easy avenue to share the gospel.
I also engaged in “dawn broadcasts,” going out at the break of day to announce the love of Christ. Even though people were asleep, hearing the call-out from a young girl caused many to open their windows or sit by their doors to listen. Many requested prayers for healing, and I witnessed numerous miracles.
During my boarding school years, I requested permission from authorities to visit other schools on weekends to share the gospel. School patrons frequently included me in their weekly chapel schedules. From my youth until today, I have traveled to different parts of the world to share the gospel under divine direction.
The Unique Selling Point: Dramatizing the Gospel
What informed the dramatization of your evangelical messages, which seems to be your signature style?
Naturally, I am a dramatic person. I use illustrations to explain whatever I have to say. Furthermore, I usually see and hear the voice of the Lord in pictures, like a movie scenario. Even when studying the Scriptures, events unfold before my eyes like a film.
Some of my book chapters open with poetic and dramatic expressions. Audiences frequently confirm that they easily remember the dramatized illustrations, stories, songs, and dances presented alongside my messages. Knowledge is power, and delivering it through dramatic and musical expressions captures attention and makes a lasting impact.
Keys to Success and Overcoming Challenges
What factors are behind your success so far?
Attention and obedience. Paying attention to instructions helps establish a connection to divine plans. Hearing, listening, and obeying come from paying attention.
I was raised by parents who believed in strictness and discipline. As a family of educators, discipline was a daily tool. That foundation helped me develop diligence, righteousness, and the fear of God. As the Bible declares:
“Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.” — 1 Samuel 15:22
I paid careful attention to King Saul’s rise and fall, and I purposed in my heart to remain humble regardless of what I achieve. Although people sometimes mistake humility for stupidity and attempt to suppress me, I choose to obey God rather than yield to pride.
This year (2026) marks 54 years of my evangelistic mission life. Simple obedience has rescued me from shame, disgrace, and embarrassment. I have survived various forms of abuse, unfair competition, and challenges stemming from envy, but the love and fear of God continue to preserve me.
The Call to Write and Publish
Part of my ministerial equipping was my journalism training, which taught me to investigate details and present reports clearly.
One day, while asking the Lord for resources for evangelism, He commanded me to stretch out my hands and asked, “What is in your hands?” My spiritual eyes were opened to see various manuscripts, publications, poems, drama scripts, and musical notes. From that moment, my spiritual senses were sharpened. Whenever I receive a message, I am instructed to write it down through a process of prayer, fasting, and discipline.
Understanding the Campaign Concepts
The terms “recovering destiny,” “spiritual surgery,” and “prophetic treatment” feature prominently on your campaign materials. What do they mean, and why are they relevant to Christianity?
These terms are working tools that guide people to real solutions. Often, individuals cannot pinpoint their exact problems, leading them to wander endlessly from one prayer house to another.
Recovering Destiny centers on returning to God’s intended blueprint for a fulfilled life. Attacks, difficulties, and distractions interfere with that purpose, causing people to fall off their paths. Salvation brings correction, while redemption cleanses and restores individuals so they can regain their divine purpose and joy.
Spiritual Surgery addresses deep-rooted issues. Just as routine medical check-ups prevent underlying physical illnesses, deliverance serves as a spiritual check-up. Certain stubborn bondages, demonic obstacles, and generational issues do not leave except through prayer and fasting. It is an intensive, thorough intervention designed to bring permanent healing.
Prophetic Treatment involves applying the written and spoken Word of God systematically to diagnose and resolve life problems. It is the practice of bringing biblical counsel and divine wisdom to bear on specific situations—line upon line and precept upon precept (Isaiah 28:9–13).
Equipping the Church and Expanding Across Africa
Why establish a School of Strategic Prayer when theology already covers prayer?
Education is vital for destiny fulfillment. Hosea 4:6 warns us that people perish for lack of knowledge. Many believers suffer from spiritual malnutrition because they lack a balanced spiritual diet. Even Jesus’ disciples recognized their prayers were ineffective until they asked Him, “Lord, teach us to pray.”
The School of Strategic Prayer trains believers to understand spiritual communication and the legal framework of the spiritual realm. The court system of heaven operates with specific terminologies; without understanding them, one risks praying amiss and giving up.
Why establish training institutes in Ghana and not Nigeria?
My decisions are strictly guided by divine instruction. However, we have conducted training sessions in Togo and other West African nations. We are actively praying for hosts and willing partners in Nigeria—individuals or organizations like the biblical Cornelius—who are ready to collaborate with us according to divine vision.
