” … And there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.” (Judges 2:10)
I am sad today. In the past one week I am troubled at what is happening with our children. Another spirit has seized this nation, another spirit is roaming among our youths and new generation zealots and pastors. Especially these young boys. An apostate generation is rising. They don’t really know the Lord and they don’t know what He had done in the past. And they are too proud to learn.
Go on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat etc., and see the havocs these guys are doing to our heritage. All because you want to spin a yarn, trend in the popular imagination and draw crowds after you? But why do so with our collective heritage? Why trend by destroying someone’s reputation and falsifying history? What is wrong with these children? What kind of spirit is possessing them?
I am sad at these young boys, these new generation pastors who can do anything just to draw crowd.
There is now over 50 or more videos on Joseph Babalola alone on YouTube and 90% of them false; the few that have some truths are blatant plagiarism and theft of intellectual property rights. They have turned Babalola to a meal ticket to draw money from YouTube and become popular.
That of Daniel Orekoya is even worse. Because they don’t know the history and these young guys are so impatient ( a common characteristic of spiritual children and babies) to study and do a research they just go on YouTube or TikTok and spin a yarn or whatever captures their fancy about the person.
And a deluded and ignorant crowd of youngsters who cannot discern, who has gone to school and learned nothing, children who cannot think or refute lies; accept and swallow these errors drinking them in uncritically to the detriment of their eternal destinies. These will cause big problem in future because once a people have been sold a lie it is difficult to correct them on the truth.
There are now several videos online about a man that most Nigerians never even knew – even in his own days; and virtually all of them are.false, outrightly false and misleading. Do these purveyors of falsehoods and foolish conjectures realise they will one day stand before the Judgment of God for lying against God’s servants?
Do these people realise that liars shall have their part in the Lake of Fire? If every idle word will be judged think of an outright lie against a servant of God just because you want to trend?
Several of these are now on Social Media. You will remember how I dragged Dr. Sunday Adelaja some years ago over Babalola? Adelaja may even be sincerely wrong, at least he tried to be scholarly.
Not these braggarts now on Social Media: they are neither scholarly nor truthful. Just stories without sources or authority or research.
I have encountered some of.these of late but none as grievous, egregious and foolish like the recent one on Daniel Orekoya on TikTok by one Lawrence Oyor.
The less than 7 minutes clip about Daniel Orekoya is so bad in its misinformation and poor history that I felt bad for this young man.
Among what he said are exaggerations, outright falsehoods, lies, innuendos, deliberate misrepresentations, libels etc. Where did he get the information for these? Which research did he do? Who supervised the research? I feel sorry for this nation and for this upcoming generation of preachers. It is sad.
According to Lawrence Oyor :
- Orekoya had 100 times the power capacity of Babalola
- Whenever Orekoya was going to town for crusade people who have died for the last 3 or 4 weeks would be brought and more than 35 will be raised to life
- Babalola’s power is like Ragolis water while Orekoya is drum.
- But Babalola’s own water is corked while Orekoya is not.
- Orekoya after crusade will go and be sleeping with prostitutes.
You can see that Satan is really using this generation of young preachers. They don’t know the history, their fathers in the Faith too don’t know and they are not humble to learn or consult the works of genuine researcher that God raised for that purpose. And when the blind lead the blind, they both end in the ditch.
Everything he said above is false about Daniel Orekoya. I should know because I am an Authority on OREKOYA. In point of fact I am the foremost authority on that prophet, if that doesn’t offends you. I have written more on him than anyone, living or dead, resident or in Diaspora. Everything he said there is falsehood, blatant outright falsehood.
I have written two books on him and a paper presented at Joseph Ayo Babalola University. Unfortunately people won’t read, they prefer the cheap crackers and output of YouTube and recycled tales of TikTok, something that tickles their fancy and make them feel good. An apostate generation.
We don’t need to spread lies to help the Cause of God. As it is our story will become a ridicule before the world because they can see the exaggeration and embellishments. This would discredit our genuine history.
I am sad that this boy seem not to be following in the footsteps of his father, Rev. G.Oyor, a respected Deliverance Minister who died few years ago. Where did he come about these lies about a seasoned servant of God who held massive revival in this same Ibadan before even his father was born?

Go and do proper research and stop misleading people and your followers. Already the video has garnered 19,000 likes and reposts. When I tell you that NIgerians are ignorant, I know what I am saying. Do you realise you will answer for these falsehoods before God?
I advise you to quickly go and pull these lies down immediately before they cause further havoc against the reputation of the prophet of the Most High God. I have warned you, I am guiltless.

Please be guided. Stop destroying our heritage because you want crowd. Stop destroying the research some of us paid enormous price to do and information we gathered together for.the sake of this nation without any payment from anywhere.
This is the only hope. Else this generation is lost.
