RCCG Liberation Parish Holds Prayer Walk, engages in peaceful protest

By Sanmi Falobi

Members of the Liberation Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Lagos Province 40 today held a prayer walk praying for Nigeria with banners with commentaries on the ills in the country.

The banners also contained words that suggests displeasure with the way the country is being governed and anti-terrorism, anti-killing comments.

The prayer walk took place shortly after the monthly thanksgiving service.

It witnessed a large turn out of members of the parish. The congregation trekked from the Dideolu court estate, Ogba parish to Ijaiye road end of Lagos.

The walk is in compliance with a directive from the church leadership as directed by the Christian Association of Nigeria.

The parlous security situation in the country is the primary reason the prayer walk is being done.  Several other churches carried out the prayer walk across the country.
