Farombi: She was a God-sent

Farombi in his tribute said the late matriarch was a God-sent helper to Rev Dr. James Boyejo. “From the time she came to the life of Rev Boyejo, the star of Daddy Boyejo continued to shine brighter and brighter both national and internationally.”

While recalling that the union of both Dr and Rev Mrs. Boyejo was blessed by the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa at the Foursquare Gospel Church, Akoka, he said the last day of the woman of God was historic and pleasant.

His words, “Victoria went to the church as a Sunday School teacher and taught the word to her students. She participated fully in the worship service after which she also visited some brethren. She drove back home in the evening of the holy day but felt too weak to come out of her car. She eventually sat at the back of the car where she was seen by a neighbour who rushed her to the hospital where she answered the glorious call to her heavenly home.”

While commiserating with the entire Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, Archbishop Margaret Idahosa said, “We do not feel as if we have lost someone because she has returned to her heavenly father who gave us in the first place. She has finished her work on earth and has heard her trumpet to return home.

“She is now ahead of us, and so the life of this woman of God should be celebrated because of the huge impact made in the ministry and other aspects of life. Heaven is so glad to receive home a daughter who has lived her life meritoriously.”

Mrs. Flo Adeni-Awosika who lives in Rhode Island, US, described Mrs. Boyejo as her “sweet twin sister” recalled how they went everywhere together. She said of her, “You had never wanted to miss your church, Christ Foundation Mission International’s (CFMI’s) daily telephone conference prayer. Whenever we travelled, either in and or out of the United States, you had excused yourself to go to a quiet place to join the telephone conference.

“Even that last day of yours on earth, you had planned to do the telephone conference at 7 pm. We were all waiting for you to start the prayer, after 10-15 minutes that we did not hear from you, we all concluded, that mama had been sleeping. We didn’t know you were struggling to make it and that God had already called you right away to Himself.”

Several other pastors and individuals too many to capture also paid glowing tributes to Mrs. Boyejo who was committed to mother earth at the Atan Cemetery on Friday, February 12 after a burial service at the Foursquare Gospel Church headquarters in Yaba, Lagos.
