Prophetic prayer for national repentance and a New Nigeria

Today, my heart aches in great pain, sorrow, and depression over the many decades of the unending captivity,  desolation, and deplorable condition of my nation.

The spiritual, social political, economic, and moral decline of my nation and the church is still on the rise even up till now.

At this time, God spoke to me through Jeremiah 4:1-9. He revealed that   His demands on Nigerians are true repentance and turning from sin, idolatry, injustice, and abominations.

Therefore, let there be a great movement of lamentation, weeping, and prayers for repentance by all in the country irrespective of age, creed, or status to end our captivity and cause deliverance from the coming terror of judgement.

 *Let us pray*

My heavenly Father, I humbly come before Your throne of grace and mercy to seek Your face in lamentation to acknowledge my sins and the sins of my nation.

I ask for your infinite mercy, for our mistakes and errors. Please pardon and deliver our nation from our age-long sin, violence, war, killings, witchcraft, occultism, injustice, corruption, apostasies, rituals, human sacrifices,  falsehood, and other evil since the first jihad war of 1804 down through amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914-1960 when Nigeria was conceptualized as an independent federal republic of Nigeria till date.

Forgive our sin of shedding the innocent blood of over 2 million lives during the civil war in 1967.

Forgive our sin against God with respect to FESTAC 77 which officially established Idolatry, demons, Idolatrous images, and foreign gods from other nations in the land.

Forgive our sin of violence, injustice, corruption, and shedding of innocent blood and ritual that have brought darkness, backwardness, and curses of the political terrain in Nigeria since 1953 i.e every 10 years ending with figure 3 ( 1953 -2023).

Forgive us of all our sins against our Lord Jesus Christ. We have turned the church into a financial entity, and occultic zones.

We have corrupted the gospel, destroyed the seed of faith of our fathers and mothers who paid the price with their sweat, blood, their time, and career, and willingly gave up anything and everything.

They left their comfort zones in order to bring the light of the gospel to us in the 1500 century down to the year 1842 when Christianity came to us and the first mission of the church of England was established in Nigeria.

Father have mercy on us and save us from the terror of Your judgment predicted in Your word in Jer.4.4 – Cleanse your minds and hearts before the LORD, or my anger will burn like an unquenchable fire because of all your sins.

Jer.4.6 – Send a signal toward Jerusalem: `Flee now! Do not delay!’ For I am bringing terrible destruction upon you from the north.”

Jer.4.7 – A lion stalks from its den, a destroyer of nations. And it is headed for your land! Your towns will lie in ruins, empty of people.

Jer.4.8 – So put on clothes of mourning and weep with broken hearts, for the fierce anger of the LORD is still upon us.

Jer.4.9 – “In that day,” says the LORD, “the king and the officials will tremble in fear. The priests and the prophets will be struck with horror.”

I pray based on your covenant words with Nigeria, knowing you as a just and dreadful God who keeps your covenant solely. Oh! Lord, remember Your divine mandate upon Nigeria through the prophecies given since the 1970s by your servants, and intercessors across the globe.

One of such covenant is that Nigeria is a chosen nation that will ignite a great revival fire in the world which will hasten your second coming.

Another prophecy was given stating that a mighty work of intercession would break out in the West Coast of Africa, chiefly in Nigeria which would spread to all the world resulting in a great revival, peace, security, tranquility, and economic stability of the nations there.

Furthermore, a great wealth would come to the Nigerian church and it is chiefly for the purpose of the evangelization of the entire Africa.

Nigeria would be a missionary nation to be used to evangelize the continent of Africa and the entire world and to be used to preserve the seed of the true gospel which is undoubtedly the gospel of the  Kingdom of Christ to other nations to influence the universal Church to repent and turn back to God in righteousness, holiness, and biblical standards and values.

My Lord Jesus and God, in this period of great apostasies, spiritual decadence, moral corruption and all other wickedness that is prevalent across my nation, let your mercy prevail over our sin.

O Lord, righteousness belongs unto you but unto every Nigerian in and out is confusion of faces, yes confusion of our leaders, spiritual, political, and secular leaders… All because we have sinned, we have rebelled against Your word.

Violence, murder corruption, and all other unspeakable evil are prevalent because of lack of obedience to God’s command.

Sin flows in our veins and there is pollution and corruption from the government to the governed.

We acknowledge that we have all sinned against You Lord and as a result of our iniquities, You have poured out Your wrath, upon our land.

We acknowledge that you are justified and right in your judgment upon us and our land. Yes, we acknowledge that it is because of our abominations that every Nigerian and our nation is confronted with a myriad of problems that every natural and human effort and wisdom has failed to solve.

We have been ridiculed, we are suffering, hardship, and pain because of our many despicable sins. Our nation Nigeria is now rejected because of our obstinacy and impudence to you and your commands.

We have ridiculed Christ’s horrific death on the cross through our behaviors, our foolhardiness, through our stupidity, and our disobedience. Now we are confronted with your just judgement because of our sins.

We plead for mercy upon our land and on behalf of ourselves and our leaders who are guilty of many sins and abominations, plotting conspiracies, sacrificing innocent souls, extorting the properties of those who do not have enough, and depriving them of their rights and privileges.

We concede and acknowledge that almost all our prophets and prophetesses are into witchcraft and occultism, they give false visions, dreams, prophesies, and lying messages using the name of God and deceiving millions of souls to hell.

All of us that are called by Your name are indulged in bribery, cheating, pen robbery, lies, stealing by tricks, and corruption.

We gain wealth through dishonest gains and through suspectable means. We organize all kinds of fasting and prayers and hold vigil without laying emphasis on sin or salvation of souls but rather on the death of perceived human  enemies, miracles, deliverance, breakthrough, and healing. Yes, we enjoy raising prayers against human enemies and not on God’s love for man.

O Lord, we are guilty.

Today, we humble our hearts in true repentance and compunction.  O merciful, and loving Father, full of kindness, wonderful in compassion we ask that you wash away our filth, cleanse and purge away our sins through the precious blood of Jesus Christ that we had ridiculed through ignorance and disobedience.

We request that you pour out your Spirit and revival power upon our land for the salvation of our souls, the transformation of our lives and communities, and chiefly because of your glory so that it might be revealed to us and the world.

O Lord, have compassion on us, revive your people so that we may rejoice in you. We desperately need an awakening of the lost souls, and even among us.

As a result of our disobedience to your commandments, Satan and demons are winning the battle against the body of Christ, and millions of souls are perishing daily.

If we have obeyed your commands earlier, the prophecies upon our lives, the nation, and the Church would have been fulfilled with Greater manifestations, and this is the reason for our humble compunction.

We need restoration of all that we have lost. In fact, we need our lost mandate back (Great Commission), we need to propagate the unfiltered gospel of the kingdom to the world.

Millions of souls are being lost to the devil on a daily basis, not because you wanted it but because the messages we have propagated is not the message of your son, we have planted our own doctrine of materialistic materialism at the expense of our soul, we have propagated the gospel of “Once saved is saved forever”

We have propagated the gospel of hatred, vengeance, kill and die,  while the gospel of Christ’s love, the forgiveness of our enemies, and persecutors’ are not being preached.

We have also allowed that cankerworm called Prosperity messages to yield fruits in our lives, such that we are now focused on the things of the world.

It has yielded us fruits of the love of Mammon, lust for worldly things, living in envy and jealousy, and running after money at all costs while forgetting that we can not serve God and Mammon.

O Lord we plead for forgiveness of our sins, and so we ask for mercy, deliverance, and revival of our souls. Our sin has brought doom upon us, it has made millions of Nigerian youths slave to sin because we have failed to give them the right word.

Many youths are now unemployed, and many of them have gone into mischievous ways of gaining money to support themselves. All this has happened because of our sins.

Heavenly Father, have mercy on us, our future leaders are now Yahoo boys and ritualists, and are slipping each day into the web of hell.

Lord Jesus, please in your mercy, pardon our many sins. Millions of married and single women have turned to prostitution in order to survive because we failed to do the right thing.

Reportedly, 60% of children brought for DNA in Nigeria are not fathered by the man in the house. That is 6 out of 10 children. This means that over 90% of married men are living in immorality.  We have failed you Lord and so we ask for your mercy, we plead in self-effacement for your mercy.

Our nation, the largest oil-producing nation in Africa and fourth in the world is now rated among the poorest nations in the world, the most corrupt nation because we failed to do the right thing. Thousands are eating from trash cans. Many are killing and selling their loved ones for ritual.

O Lord we plead for the forgiveness of our sins and ask for mercy, deliverance, and revival of our souls. Boko Haram and other Jihadists we should have evangelized to, making them carry the Bible are now carrying guns and threatening us because we failed to do the right thing.

We acknowledge our failure to act in accordance with your word. Instead we have acted in accordance with our fleshly desires. Our nation Nigeria is now termed the most dangerous nation in the world to be a Christian. The prophecies upon Nigeria are not being fulfilled because of our sins.

Lord Jesus we plead for mercy. Our sin has allowed evil to reign among us. Our sin has made thousands of Nigerian Christians to be hacked to death with machetes, their throats slit with knives like rams, and their heads severed from their necks with saws.

The stomach of pregnant women ripped open with knives, people being burnt alive, and all manners of unspeakable atrocities have happened because and only because we failed to do the right thing.

The right thing of preaching the true unadulterated word to the dying WORLD, the right thing of obeying the word of God.

We have not done the right thing of preaching against sin, and raising disciples and have not obeyed countless of the commandments you have given to us to follow.

We have decided to be only hearers of your word and not doers of it, we plead for mercy only if you will turn your anger away from us and revive us again.

Should we begin to count the many atrocities, evil, and abominations happening in our nation we might not be able to finish up counting them because they are innumerable.

Is it our  Nigerian girls that are into prostitution in Italy, Ghana, Cameroon, and all other nations of the world because of the harsh economy in Nigeria.

Even our birthright has been stolen by foreign countries because of our selfishness, greed, and foolishness. We have many mineral resources you have endowed to us that would have been enough for the development and progress of nation. But we have misused them.

There would not have been Yahoo scammers, kidnappers, murderers, and the likes of them if Nigeria was well developed. Many of our unemployed youths some of them that have gone out of the country to search for greener pasture all to no avail.

Thousands have been drowned in the Atlantic Ocean, thousands were stranded in the desert died of starvation and wild animals feast on them. Hundreds of girls were forced to sex labour . Is it their fault?

Should we blame them? How will they not when we failed to do the right thing at the right time, when we allowed the devil to deceive us; when we rejected God and His commandments.

God said,” But thou shall say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished and is cut off from their mouth”( Jeremiah 7:28).

Our grown church now is dying spiritually, worldliness, materialistic values, witchcraft, occultism, denominations, nominalism and focus on the building of empires have choked the spirituality of the church.

We are now merchandising Jesus because of our love for money. We are exporting witchcraft and occultism to the nations in the name of church growth.

Please forgive us for our failure in the journey of Christian living, have mercy on us, and do not be angry with us forever cause your anger to cease upon us, Lord.

We promise that from today we begin to preach against sin, ungodliness, unrighteousness, wickedness, worldliness, corruption, and lust for money. And we will now preach repentance, hell, heaven, God’s imminent judgement, discipleship, eternal rewards, and suffering for Christ in our gatherings and everywhere that God commands in the scripture. That is what our nation and the world and Global Church desperately need now.

We believe that with faith that your mercy would prevail over our national sin.

Father, let today mark the end of our captivity and the beginning of the birth of a new Nigeria, and the fulfillment of Your prophetic destiny over Nigeria that will cause a  spark of an end-time revival fire that would engulf my nation.

It would also spread to all the world resulting in a great prophetic prayer movement for revival, conviction of sin, and repentance among the Global body of Christ that would force open all the closed doors against the gospel and also against the coming of missionaries and Christian workers.

Let it cause God’s Kingdom to experience the greatest harvest of souls in history which will hasten nations, leaders, and inhabitants of the earth to turn back to God in righteousness and faith in Christ alone.

Our Saviour and our  King of all nations let the end of our captivity bring the fulfillment of your words in Ps.22.27 – 28, “The whole earth will acknowledge the LORD and return to him. People from every nation will bow down before him.

For the LORD is king! He rules all the nations”.

Heavenly Father, we, the Bible-believing, Spirit-filled, and Holy Ghost power believers in Christ. God’s chosen servants, missionaries, leaders, intercessors, lay men, and women across the different Christian backgrounds and denominations in Nigeria and the world agree with God in faith, unity, love, and singleness of hearts in accordance with  Micah 4:9-14  today.

We pray an end all satanic rules and strategies, operational activities, timely calendar, seasons, Satanic prayers, sounds, and songs, music, demonic  Prophesies and commands, even Satanic celebrations, festivals, anniversaries, influences, enchantment, initiations that are being done for Satan, Queen of heaven and queen of the sea.

We pray against mammon and satanic princes and all other operations being done in the dark world and across our nation over our souls and all sectors of the economy of Nigeria.

Henceforth, we welcome Jesus Christ to be  Lord of our land and we dedicate the soul and kingdom of Nigeria to God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the blessed Holy Spirit.

Today a new Nigeria is born. A revival is birthed in the  Church and to all other nations of the world in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thank you our merciful loving Father. Thank you Jesus Christ and thank you our blessed Holy Spirit for listening to our cry.

Jeremiah 5:1,” Run ye to and fro through the streets…, And see now, and know, and seek in the broad places therefore, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgement, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it”.

Thank you Father for answering our prayers we believe in accordance with your word that,” If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all our wrong”(1John1:8-9)  Glory be God and our Lord Jesus Christ credit. Amen, Amen, and Amen.
